Test for vertical axis deviation of bottles
This method is suitable for the determination of vertical axis deviation of circular medicinal glass bottles and circular runout of ampoule. This method is generally not used for special- shaped bottles (except for bottles whose bottom axis can be fixed).
The vertical axis deviation refers to the horizontal deviation, from the center of the bottle mouth to the vertical line passing through the center of the bottom of the bottle. The vertical axis deviation, which is specified in this method, refers to one-half the diameter of the circle, which is drawn by the center of the bottle mouth around the central axis of the bottle bottom, when the glass bottle rotates one circle around the central axis of the bottom of the bottle.
Instruments and devices
The test instrument requirements ensure that when the bottom of the bottle to be tested is placed horizontally, it can measure the horizontal distance between the center of the bottle mouth and the vertical axis of the center of the bottle bottom.
The instrument requires a method or equipment to fix the bottom of the bottle or ensure close contact between the bottom of the bottle and the horizontal surface, a chassis that can rotate the bottle or a reliable rotation method, to ensure that the axis of the bottom of the bottle is always stable, during the rotation of the bottle.
