This Part specifies the indoor test method for the longitudinal resistance of rails assembled with fasteners. This Part applies to fastening systems for high-speed railways. 2 Sign The following signs are applicable to this Document. D1: The maximum longitudinal displacement of the rail during the loading cycle, in millimeters (mm). D2: The residual longitudinal displacement of the rail after unloading, in millimeters (mm). D3: Elastic longitudinal displacement of the rail before sliding, in millimeters (mm). F: The longitudinal resistance of the rail, in kilonewtons (kN). 3 Principle Assemble the short rail with fasteners on the rail bearing surface of the anchored sleeper; and apply longitudinal tension to the rail; record the load and the longitudinal displacement of the rail relative to the sleeper; and unload when the rail slips. 1 Scope
This Part specifies the indoor test method for the longitudinal resistance of rails assembled with fasteners.
This Part applies to fastening systems for high-speed railways.
2 Sign
The following signs are applicable to this Document.
D1: The maximum longitudinal displacement of the rail during the loading cycle, in millimeters (mm).
D2: The residual longitudinal displacement of the rail after unloading, in millimeters (mm). D3: Elastic longitudinal displacement of the rail before sliding, in millimeters (mm). F: The longitudinal resistance of the rail, in kilonewtons (kN).
3 Principle
Assemble the short rail with fasteners on the rail bearing surface of the anchored sleeper; and apply longitudinal tension to the rail; record the load and the longitudinal displacement of the rail relative to the sleeper; and unload when the rail slips. The longitudinal resistance of the rail is obtained from the load-displacement curve.
4 Test Equipment
4.1 Rails
A section of short rail with a length of about 0.5 m, whose section is the same as that used for the assembly of the fastener to be tested or the assembly fatigue performance test. The rails shall be free from peeling, free from floating rust on the surface; and the bottom of the rails shall not be polished due to repeated tests.
4.2 Loading device
The device with the loading rate of 9kN/min ~ 11kN/min, and the static loading can reach 50kN, which applies the tension in the direction of the vertical sleeper through the bottom of the rail. 4.3 Displacement sensor
An instrument for measuring the longitudinal displacement of the rail relative to the sleeper, with an indication error of 0.01 mm.
4.4 Load sensor
An instrument for measuring the load applied to the rail, with an accuracy class of 0.5 4.5 Recording equipment
For equipment capable of digitally recording and drawing load-displacement curves during the test, the sampling frequency shall be no lower than 50 Hz.
5 Test Pieces
5.1 Sleeper
Sleepers with fastener embedded parts or reserved bolt holes, 1/2 sleepers or slab rail unit (all described as sleepers in this test method). The rail bearing surfaces of sleepers shall not be reconditioned for testing.
5.2 Fasteners
Complete set of fasteners for all parts included.
6 Test Procedures for Conventional Resistance Fasteners
6.1 Test temperature
The test shall be carried out in a room with an ambient temperature of 23??C ?? 5??C. Before the test, all the fastener components used for the test shall be kept in the above temperature environment for no less than 24h.
6.2 Test preparation
Fix the rail on a rail-bearing surface of the sleeper with fasteners according to the standard assembly state; place the sleeper on a rigid foundation and anchor it; the test arrangement is
