Scope

This Part of SN/T 1588 specifies the requirements, sampling, inspection as well
as determination of inspection results of import-export luminaries for swimming
pools and similar applications.
This Part is applicable to the import and export inspection of stationary
luminaires used in or in contact with water, such as swimming pool sinks,
fountains, paddling pools and garden pools, of luminaires using tungsten
filament lamps and LEDs.
This Part is not applicable to the import and export inspection of luminaires that
are not in contact with water (e.g., installed behind glass panels that are part of
the fixture) or portable luminaires.
