This standard specifies the type and definition of hybrid electric vehicles (as defined in GB/T 19596).

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this standard.
3.1
Total power
The sum of the motor peak power of hybrid electric vehicle1) and the rated power of the engine.
4 Hybrid electric vehicle type
4.1 By powertrain structure type
4.1.1 Series hybrid electric vehicle
The hybrid electric vehicle the driving force of the vehicle driving system of which is supplied by the motor and engine, simultaneously or separately. 1 In this standard, it refers to the peak power of the driving motor.
