Rotational speed sensor for automobile
1 Scope
1.1 This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, etc. of rotational speed sensors for automobiles.
1.2 This standard applies to crankshaft speed sensors, wheel speed sensors, gearbox speed sensors (hereinafter referred to as "sensors"), for the categories M, N, O automobiles. Other motor vehicles may refer to this standard.

4.5.1 Resistance to low temperature storage
The sensor has undergone a storage test, at a low temperature of -40 °C, for a duration of 24 hours; after 2 hours of recovery at room temperature, its performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.
4.5.2 Resistance to high temperature storage
The sensor has undergone a storage test, at a low temperature of 85 °C, for a duration of 48 hours; after 2 hours of recovery at room temperature, its performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.
4.5.3 Resistance to rapid temperature changes
4.5.3.1 The crankshaft sensor has undergone a rapid temperature change test, at a low temperature of -40 °C and a high temperature of 125 °C; after 2 hours of recovery at room temperature, its performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.
4.5.3.2 The wheel speed sensor has undergone a rapid temperature change test, at a low temperature of -40 °C and a high temperature of 150 °C; after 2 hours of recovery at room temperature, its performance shall meet the
requirements of 4.2.
4.5.3.3 The gearbox speed sensor has undergone a rapid temperature change test, at a low temperature of -40 °C and a high temperature of 125 °C; after 2 hours of recovery at room temperature, its performance shall meet the
requirements of 4.2.
4.5.4 Resistance to working at low temperature
When the sensor is subjected to the test of resistance to working at low temperature at -40 °C, the performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2. 4.5.5 Resistance to working at high temperature
When the sensor is subjected to the test of resistance to working at high temperature, as shown in Table 2, the performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.

4.6 Resistance to cyclic damp heat
After the sensor is subjected to the cyclic damp heat test, the performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.
4.7 Vibration resistance
The sensor shall be subjected to a vibration resistance test. After the test, the appearance shall not be damaged; the performance shall meet the
requirements of 4.2.
4.8 Protection performance
The degree of protection of the sensor (except the connector) shall meet the requirements of Table 3.

4.9 Electromagnetic immunity (Hall type/magneto-resistive sensor)
4.9.1 The sensor shall comply with 4.2, during the electromagnetic radiation immunity test. The severity of the test is determined through negotiation, between the supplier and the buyer.
4.9.2 Whether the sensor needs to be subject to a conduction immunity test, shall be determined through negotiation, between the supplier and the buyer. 4.9.3 The sensor shall meet the requirements of 4.2, during the electrostatic discharge immunity test. The test severity level of air discharge and contact discharge shall be determined, through negotiation between the supplier and the buyer.
4.10 Free fall resistance
The sensor is not allowed to be damaged after the free fall test; the performance shall meet the requirements of 4.2.
4.11 Chemical resistance
The performance of the sensor, after the chemical test in Table 4, shall meet the requirements of 4.2.
5.4.1 Power reverse polarity test
It is carried out according to the provisions of 4.7.2.3 in GB/T 28046.2-2011, wherein the reverse voltage is US.
5.4.2 Power supply overvoltage test
It is carried out according to the provisions of 4.3.1.1.2 or 4.3.2.2 in GB/T 28046.2-2011, wherein the test voltage of sensor is 1.5 US.
5.5 Insulation withstand voltage test
It is carried out according to the provisions of 4.11.2 in GB/T 28046.2-2011. 5.6 Temperature resistance test
5.6.1 Test of resistance to storage at low temperature
It is carried out according to the provisions of 5.1.1.1.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011. 5.6.2 Test of resistance to storage at high temperature
It is carried out according to the provisions of 5.1.2.1.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011. 5.6.3 Test of resistance to rapid temperature change
Perform 100 rapid temperature change tests, in accordance with the provisions of 5.3.2 of GB/T 28046.4-2011. The holding time of low temperature and high temperature, in each cycle, is 30 min.
5.6.4 Test of resistance to working at low temperature
It is carried out according to the provisions of 5.1.1.2.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011. The working mode 3.2 is changed to 3.1.
Note: If the performance test is carried out outside the low-temperature box, the sample shall be taken out of the low-temperature box AND completed within 5 minutes. 5.6.5 Test of resistance to working at high temperature
It is carried out according to the provisions of 5.1.2.2.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011. The working mode 3.2 is changed to 3.1.
Note: If the performance test is carried out outside the high-temperature box, the sample shall be taken out of the high-temperature box AND completed within 5 minutes. 5.7 Test of resistance to cyclic damp heat
It is carried out according to 5.6.2.3 of GB/T 28046.4-2011. Perform 10 cycles 5.13 Durability test
Divide the samples into two groups, to carry out the following tests, respectively (Hall/magneto-resistive sensors need to be tested in a charged state):
a) Durability at high temperature: It is carried out in accordance with the provisions of 5.1.2.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011, under the test conditions of Table 5 or Table 6. The working mode 3.2 was changed to 3.1;
b) Durability at alternative temperature change: It is carried out in accordance with the requirements of 5.3.2.2 in GB/T 28046.4-2011, under the test
conditions in Table 5 or Table 6.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Qualification documents and marking
The sensor can only leave the factory, after passing the inspection, AND accompanied by a product quality certificate and marking.
6.2 Exit-factory inspection
The exit-factory inspection items include the appearance and basic
performance of the sensor.
6.3 Type inspection
6.3.1 Several situations for type inspection
In one of the following situations, the sensor shall be subject to type inspection: a) Trial type qualification of new sensors;
b) After formal production, if there are major changes in structure, materials, processes, that affect the performance of the sensor;
c) For sensors that are produced in batches or in large quantities, not less than once every two years;
d) When the production of sensor is restored, after being discontinued for more than one year;
e) Where there is a big difference between the exit-factory inspection result and the last type inspection result.
