This Standard specifies the basic size, performance and material requirements for the metallic tube, female and male thread pipe fittings and hose end fittings used in the hydraulic braking system of the motor vehicles. This Standard is applicable to the motor vehicle equipped with hydraulic braking system.

1 Subject Contents and Applicable Scope
This Standard specifies the basic size, performance and material requirements for the metallic tube, female and male thread pipe fittings and hose end fittings used in the hydraulic braking system of the motor vehicles.
This Standard is applicable to the motor vehicle equipped with hydraulic braking system.

3 Metallic Tube
3.1 Non-flared metallic tube
Double-layer coiled tube. The basic size, burst pressure and mass per meter shall conform to the provisions of Table 1. The metallic tube may also be coated with a plastic coating on its outer surface; but it shall meet the use requirements of female and male thread pipe fittings and hose end fittings stipulated in this Standard. 3.3 Material performance of metallic tube
It shall conform to the provisions of Table 3.

NOTE 1): Used for the metallic tube that has not been straightened.
2): Flat furnace steel or top-blown oxygen converter steel.
3.4 Technical requirements
The inner and outer surfaces of the metallic tube shall be free of the scale; the outer surface shall be corrosion resistant and can be resistant to the salt spray test for a duration of no less than 96h. The test method shall conform to the provisions of GB 2423.17.
4 Taper Sealed Pipe Threaded Hole
The type and size of the taper sealed pipe threaded hole shall conform to the provisions of Figure 3 and Table 4.
