This Standard specifies the classification, general requirements, performance requirements, test standards and methods, marks, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of field-mountable optical fiber connectors (optical field connectors for short, or quick connectors for short). This Standard applies to the single-mode fiber optic field connector series products.
