1 Scope
This document specifies the terms and definitions, symbols, technical requirements and
test methods for wet dual clutch assemblies for automatic transmission of passenger
vehicles.
This document applies to wet dual clutch assemblies for automatic transmission of
passenger vehicles.
2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1
wet dual clutch
A clutch that consists of a drive plate, clutch hubs, steel plates, friction plates, clutch
working pistons and return springs, has an active part and two driven parts, and is
cooled and lubricated by oil.
NOTE: The structure of a wet dual clutch is shown in Figure A.1 in Annex A.
3.2
drive plate
A connecting component that is connected to the clutch outer hub and transmits the
engine torque to the wet dual clutch assembly.
3.3
clutch hub
Clutch pressure corresponding to the clutch engagement and torque transmission when
overcoming the clutch spring force or cavity back pressure.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
4.1.1 The wet dual clutch assembly shall comply with the requirements of this
document and be manufactured according to the drawings and technical documents
approved by the prescribed procedures.
4.1.2 The markings of the wet dual clutch assembly shall be clear, and there shall be no
defects such as bumps and scratches on the surface.
4.2 Performance requirements
4.2.1 Torque transmission capacity
The maximum value of clutch transmission torque shall not be less than 1.2T.
NOTE 1: T represents the clutch design input torque, in Newton meters (N · m).
NOTE 2: Unless otherwise specified, the performance requirements of the first clutch and the
second clutch are the same, the same below.
4.2.2 Torque hysteresis
The maximum value of torque hysteresis shall not be greater than 0.15T.
4.2.3 Dynamic friction coefficient
At an oil temperature of (45 ± 5) ℃, the dynamic friction coefficient within a speed
difference of 1000 r/min shall not have a negative gradient.
4.2.4 Drag torque
The drag torque under each working condition shall not be greater than 6 N · m.
4.2.5 Pressure pulse
According to the specified test conditions, after the first clutch and the second clutch
are tested 500,000 times respectively, the function of each clutch shall be normal. After
the test, all parts and welding positions shall be free of cracks and plastic deformation;
the retest results of the clutch torque transmission capacity shall meet the requirements
of 4.2.1.
