Electric Heater for Electric Vehicle
1 Scope
1.1 This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods,
inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of electric heater for
electric vehicle.
1.2 This Standard is applicable to electric heater for electric vehicle (hereinafter
referred to as "electric heaters"), but not applicable to panel electric heater and
electrothermal film electric heaters.

4.5.3 Vibration
After the electric heater is tested according to 5.10, there shall be no structural damage,
the input power change shall not exceed ±10%, and the electrical safety performance
shall meet the requirements of 4.4.
4.5.4 Drop performance
After the electric heater in the factory-packed state drops from a height of 1000mm
according to the test method in 5.11, there shall be no obviously damage; its input
power change shall not exceed ±10%, and the electrical safety performance shall meet
the requirements of 4.4.
4.6 Weather resistance
4.6.1 Temperature Alternation
After the electric heater is tested according to 5.12, there shall be no structural damage,
the input power change shall not exceed ±10%, and the electrical safety performance
should meet the requirements of 4.4.
4.6.2 Humidity resistance
After the electric heater is tested in accordance with 5.13, the input power change shall
not exceed ±10%, and the electrical safety performance shall meet the requirements
of 4.4.
4.6.3 High temperature storage
After the electric heater is tested in accordance with 5.14, the input power change shall
not exceed ±10%, and the electrical safety performance shall meet the requirements
of 4.4.
4.6.4 Low temperature storage
After the electric heater is tested in accordance with 5.15, the input power change shall
not exceed ±10%, and the electrical safety performance shall meet the requirements
of 4.4.
4.7 Salt spray resistance
The electric heater shall meet the requirements that the neutral salt spray test lasts for
no less than 96h. After the test according to 5.16, there shall be no corrosion and
leakage, and its electrical performance shall meet the requirements of 4.4.
The liquid electric heater is filled with 0.2MPa air pressure and pressure is maintained
for 120s.
5.19 Burst pressure test
The liquid electric heater is filled with 0.5MPa air pressure and pressure is maintained
for 30s.
5.20 Durability test
Load voltage of electric heater: (1.15±2%) U (U is the rated voltage).
5.20.1 Under normal working conditions, place the electric heater on the test device
and work continuously for 1000h.
5.20.2 Under normal working conditions, place the electric heater on the test device.
After the electric heater is energized for the 1min, then switched off for 1 min; and it
shall be switched on and off for 10 000 times.
5.21 Protection level test
The protection test of Level-B voltage components of electric heaters shall be carried
out in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 4208.
5.22 Flame-retardant test
The flame-retardant test of non-metallic parts of electric heaters shall be carried out in
accordance with the provisions of GB/T 2408.
5.23 Pressure impulse resistance test
When the liquid electric heater is at a liquid temperature of 100°C ± 5°C, the number
of pressure alternations shall be 20 000 times, the alternating pressure is 0.02MPa
~0.25MPa, and the alternating frequency is 1Hz.
5.24 Vacuum resistance test
Apply a pressure of -90kPa inside the liquid electric heater, release the vacuum after
maintaining the pressure for 60s, and repeat for 5 times.
5.25 Prohibited substance test
The detection of prohibited substances shall be carried out in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 30512.
