Office furniture - Microcomputer desk
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and nomenclature,
requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions for use, packaging,
transportation, storage of microcomputer desks.
This standard is applicable to independent, movable microcomputer desks, which are
made of wood, metal, glass and other materials, for placing and operating desktop
computers, in office or home places. The microcomputer desks, which are made by
other materials AND specially designed for notebook computers, may make reference
to this standard.
This standard does not apply to foldable, portable microcomputer desks or furniture,
that is integrated with other furniture or facilities AND has the function of operating a
computer.
2 Normative references

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions, which are defined in GB/T 3324 and GB/T 3325, as well as
the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.
3.1
Keyboard bracket
A horizontal push-pull movable part, which is installed under the desktop, for
placing and operating the keyboard.
3.2
Microcomputer support plate
A stand-alone component, which is used for placing the microcomputer AND whose
base can be equipped with casters.
3.3
Printer bracket
A component, which is installed above the desktop, has fixed or position-adjustable
stand, for placing printer.
4 Classification and naming
4.1 Classification by material
a) Wooden microcomputer desk: The main component's material is wood or artificial
wood material;
b) Metal microcomputer desk: The main component's material is metal material;
c) Steel-wood microcomputer desk: The main component's materials are wood or
artificial wood materials and metal materials.
Mixed material microcomputer desk: The desktop, shelf or bracket is made of glass or
other materials; the main frame parts are made of wood, metal or steel wood.
4.2 Classification by desktop height adjustment function
6.2 Determination of shape and position tolerances
It is carried out, according to the provisions of GB/T 3324-2008 or GB/T 3325-2008.
6.3 Visual inspection
It is carried out, according to the provisions of GB/T 3324-2008 or GB/T 3325-2008.
6.4 Structural inspection
Adopt manual and visual inspections.
6.5 Test of physical-chemical properties
6.5.1 Determination of wood moisture content
It is carried out, according to the provisions of GB/T 3324-2008.
6.5.2 Test of surface physical-chemical properties
It is carried out, according to GB/T 3324-2008 or GB/T 3325-2008, as well as the
provisions of Table 4.
6.6 Mechanical properties test
It is carried out, according to the provisions in Table 5.
6.7 Determination of limits of hazardous substances
It is carried out, according to the provisions of GB 18584.
7 Inspection rules
7.1 Inspection classification
Inspection is divided into exit-factory inspection and type inspection.
7.2 Exit-factory inspection
7.2.1 Exit-factory inspection items
The exit-factory inspection items are 5.1 ~ 5.4 and 5.5.1.1 in Chapter 5.
7.2.2 Sampling and group-batching rules
The exit-factory inspection shall be for all products. Due to the large batch size, if it is
difficult to carry out the 100% inspection, the sampling inspection can be carried out.
The sampling inspection method is based on the provisions of GB/T 2828.1-2003, using
b) After the official production, if there are major changes in structure, material,
process, which may affect the performance of the product;
c) During normal production, an inspection shall be carried out periodically or after
accumulating a certain amount of output; the inspection period is generally one
year;
d) When the production is resumed, after long-term suspension;
e) When there is a big difference between the exit-factory inspection result and the
last type inspection;
f) When the national quality supervision agency puts forward the requirements for
type inspection.
7.3.3 Sampling rules
In an inspection cycle, 2 samples are randomly selected from the recently produced
products, wherein 1 is sent for inspection and 1 is sealed for retention.
7.3.4 Judgment of type inspection results
The judgement shall be carried out, according to the provisions of 7.2.3.1.
8 Marking, instruction for use, packaging, transportation,
storage
8.1 Marking
8.1.1 The product marking shall at least include the following contents: product name,
desk height grade or height adjustable range, name of main materials, implemented
standard number, inspection certificate, production date or batch number, Chinese
manufacturer's name, address.
8.1.2 The pictorial signs of packaging shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 191.
8.2 Instructions for use
The preparation of product's instructions for use shall be in accordance with the
provisions of GB 5296.6; the content shall at least include:
a) Product name, desk height grade or height adjustable range;
b) The main dimensions of the product and the dimensions of the microcomputer
bracket;

3 Terms and definitions
