Foreword
This Standard is a revision to QB/T 2155-2004 Travelling case and trolley bag.
Compared with QB/T 2155-2004, the main changes are as follows.
- simplified “Scope”;
- added standards in “Normative references”;
- modified “Classified according to materials” and added corresponding
requirements;
- added the requirements for “Hazardous substances limit”, “pull rod”,
"marks";
- added the "specified load" of travelling bag;
- modified "load performance" test method to " oscillation impact test ";
- modified the requirements for external load in "walking test";
- modified "impact resistance performance" test method;
- added the requirements for top grade product in "falling ball impact
resistance of hard case surface";
- modified the requirements for "corrosion resistance of metal accessory
plating", "rubbing fastness of travelling bag", "case lock";

Travelling case and Trolley bag
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods,
inspection rules and marks, labels, packaging, transport, storage of travelling
case (travelling suitcase, travelling soft case), trolley bag.
This Standard is applicable to various travelling cases, trolley bags with a
function for carrying clothes, equipped with travelling wheels, pull rod.

3 Product classification
3.1 Classified according to variety
a) travelling suitcase (hard case);
b) travelling soft case (soft case);
c) travelling bag.
3.2 Classified according to materials
a) travelling case, trolley bag that take leather as fabric;
b) travelling case, trolley bag that take man-made leather, synthetic leather
as fabric;
c) travelling case, trolley bag that take recycled leather as fabric;
4.5.2 Fatigue resistance of pull rod
Perform inspection according to QB/T 2919. Conduct pulling-closing 4000 times
for top grade product. The pull rod shall have no deformation, jamming, loosing.
4.5.3 Walking performance
Carry out the walking test under specified load conditions. Qualified product
walks 8 km continuously. Top grade product continuously walks 12 km. After the
test, the travelling wheels shall move flexibly, no blocking or deformation. Wheel
carrier, axle have no deformation, cracking. The abrasion of travelling wheel
does not exceed 2 mm. The pulling-closing of pull rod is smooth, no deformation,
loosening or blocking. The junction of pull rod and case body shall have no
cracks, loosening. The case (bag) lock works as normal.
When double-rod travelling case is in test, it shall totally pull out the rod. Apply
load to the flexible part between pull rod and case body, 5kg for qualified
product, 8 kg for top grade product.
4.5.4 Oscillation impact performance
Carry out the oscillation impact test under the specified load conditions (the
loads of side pull strap, side drag handle are 50% of the specified load).
Respectively inspect back strap, carrying handle, side handle, pull rod, side
drag handle, side pull strap. The times of oscillation impact are. 400 times for
carrying handle, side drag handle, respectively; 300 times for pull rod (400 times
for top grade product); 250 times for back strap, side pull strap, side drag handle,
respectively. After the test, each component has no deformation, crack, fracture,
open line. The fasteners, connectors do not loose. The case body (bag body)
has no deformation, crack. The pulling-closing of pull rod is smooth, no
deformation, loosening, blocking or dislocation. The junction between pull rod
and case body has no crack, loosening. The case (bag) lock works as normal.
4.5.5 Impact resistance performance
Carry out the falling test under specified load conditions. Case body, case
mouth, lining frame do not deform or crack. Travelling wheels, axle and stand
are not deformed, cracked. The gap of case bottom facing mouth, covering
