1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, size, shape,
weight, technical requirements, inspection and testing, packaging, marking and
inspection documents of 6000 series cold-rolled aluminum alloy plates and strips for
automobiles.
This Standard is applicable to cold-rolled and cold-rolled coated 6000 series aluminum
alloy plates and strips (hereinafter referred to as aluminum plates and strips) for
automobiles with a thickness of 0.70mm~4.50mm produced by Baowu Aluminum
Technology Co., Ltd.

4 Marking and Examples
The product marking is shown in the following example:
B6000-IH-EDT-P-DO-E
Thereof:
B: Baosteel Co., Ltd.;
6000: Aluminum alloy series, 6000 series Al-Mg-Si-(Cu) alloy;
IH: Used for high flanging plate;
EDT: Processing method of surface, texturing;
P: Treatment method of surface, passivation;
DO: Treatment method of surface, dry oiling;
E: Use position, outer plate.
5 Information Required for Ordering
5.1 The user shall provide the following information when ordering:
a) Name of category;
b) Designation and state;
c) Usage;
d) Product specifications and dimensions, dimensional accuracy;
e) Surface texture;
f) Type and thickness of passivation layer;
g) Type and thickness of oiling;
h) Surface quality requirements;
i) Packaging method;
j) Coding requirements;
k) Others.
6.10.2 The outer surface of the plates and strips for the outer plates of the car body
coverings are not allowed to have scratches, prints and other defects that affect the
use; and slight chromatic aberrations and other defects that may be covered by paint
are allowed. The other surface shall comply with the provisions of 6.10.1.
6.10.3 When the purchaser has special requirements, it shall be determined through
negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser; and indicated in the purchase
order (or contract).
7 Test Methods
7.1 Chemical compositions
7.1.1 The chemical composition analysis method shall comply with the provisions of
GB/T 20975 or GB/T 7999, and the arbitration analysis shall adopt the method
specified in GB/T 20975. The "Al" content is calculated according to the method
specified in GB/T 3190. When calculating the "Al" content, the sum of the analysis
values of the conventional analysis element and the suspected excessive
unconventional analysis element is taken as the "sum of element content".
7.1.2 The analysis value is judged by the rounding-off comparison method. The
rounding-off rules of the value shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant
provisions of GB/T 8170, and the rounding-off digits shall be consistent with the limit
digits stipulated in GB/T 3190.
7.2 Size deviation
7.2.1 Size rounding-off
The measurement value of the size is not allowed to be rounded-off, and the method
of determining the limit value shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 8170.
7.2.2 Thickness, length, width, and outer diameter of roll
The thickness of the base material shall be measured at the distance of no less than
25mm from the side and no less than 115mm from the corner of the end, by a
micrometer with an accuracy of 0.001mm or a measuring tool with the same accuracy.
7.2.3 Unevenness
Take a section of specimen (the specimen shall include the wave part of the product
as much as possible) with a length of 1500mm from the strip, place the specimen freely
on the platform, and check the wave height and wave number in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 3880.3.
Measure the amount of oil applied on the surface according to the method negotiated
by the supplier and the purchaser.
7.9 Surface passivation layer
The thickness of the passivation layer shall be measured according to the method
specified in GB/T 8013.3.
7.10 Inspection method of appearance quality
The appearance quality of aluminum plates and strips is visually inspected. When
necessary, the defect size may use the size measurement tool to define; and the depth
of the defect may be determined by grinding.
8 Inspection Rules
8.1 Inspection and acceptance
8.1.1 The strip shall be inspected by the supplier to ensure that the quality of the strip
meets the requirements of this Standard and the purchase order (or contract); and fill
in the quality guarantee.
8.1.2 The purchaser shall inspect the products received in accordance with the
provisions of this Standard. If the inspection result does not conform to the provisions
of this Standard and the purchase order (or contract), it shall be submitted to the
supplier in written form; and be solved through the negotiation between the supplier
and the purchaser. Objections related to appearance quality and size deviations shall
be submitted within one month from the date of receipt of the product; and objections
related to other properties shall be submitted within three months from the date of
receipt of the product. If arbitration is required, it can be entrusted to an organization
recognized by both the supplier and the purchaser, and samples shall be taken on the
purchaser's side jointly.
8.2 Batching
The strips shall be submitted for acceptance in batches, and each batch shall be
composed of the products with the same designation, state and specification. The
weight of each batch is not limited. When required, it can be negotiated by the two
parties and indicate in the purchase order (or contract).
8.3 Inspection items
Each batch of strips shall be inspected for chemical composition, size deviation,
mechanical properties, process performance, and appearance quality before leaving

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, size, shape,

4 Marking and Examples

5 Information Required for Ordering
5.1 The user shall provide the following information when ordering:

6.10.2 The outer surface of the plates and strips for the outer plates of the car body

7 Test Methods
7.1 Chemical compositions
7.1.1 The chemical composition analysis method shall comply with the provisions of
GB/T 20975 or GB/T 7999, and the arbitration analysis shall adopt the method
specified in GB/T 20975. The "Al" content is calculated according to the method
specified in GB/T 3190. When calculating the "Al" content, the sum of the analysis
values of the conventional analysis element and the suspected excessive
unconventional analysis element is taken as the "sum of element content".
7.1.2 The analysis value is judged by the rounding-off comparison method. The
rounding-off rules of the value shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant
provisions of GB/T 8170, and the rounding-off digits shall be consistent with the limit
digits stipulated in GB/T 3190.
7.2 Size deviation
7.2.1 Size rounding-off
The measurement value of the size is not allowed to be rounded-off, and the method
of determining the limit value shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 8170.
7.2.2 Thickness, length, width, and outer diameter of roll
The thickness of the base material shall be measured at the distance of no less than
25mm from the side and no less than 115mm from the corner of the end, by a
micrometer with an accuracy of 0.001mm or a measuring tool with the same accuracy.
7.2.3 Unevenness
Take a section of specimen (the specimen shall include the wave part of the product
as much as possible) with a length of 1500mm from the strip, place the specimen freely
on the platform, and check the wave height and wave number in accordance with the
provisions of GB/T 3880.3.
Measure the amount of oil applied on the surface according to the method negotiated
by the supplier and the purchaser.
7.9 Surface passivation layer
The thickness of the passivation layer shall be measured according to the method
specified in GB/T 8013.3.
7.10 Inspection method of appearance quality
The appearance quality of aluminum plates and strips is visually inspected. When
necessary, the defect size may use the size measurement tool to define; and the depth
