Scope

This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, size, shape,
weight, technical requirements, inspection and testing, packaging, marking and quality
certificates of stainless steel-steel clad plates for pressure vessels produced by the
rolling method.
This Standard applies to rolled clad steel plates for pressure vessels produced by
Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. with stainless steel as cladding metal, carbon steel
or low-alloy steel as base metal, and a total thickness of no less than 8mm; hereinafter
referred to as steel clad plate. It is used to manufacture single-sided, double-sided
symmetrical and asymmetrical thick clad plates of stainless-steel cladding metal for
various pressure vessels and storage tanks in the petroleum, chemical, light industry,
seawater desalination, and nuclear industries.
