This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2020 Directives for Standardization – Part 1: Structure and Drafting of Standards.
This Standard was formulated by referring to NB/T 47002.1-2019 Clad Plate for Pressure Vessel – Part 1: Stainless Steel – Steel Clad Plate, and combining the actual conditions of the rolled compounding production of Baosteel and the user’s usage requirements.
This Standard replaced Q/BQB 695-2018; compared with the original standard, the major changes of this Standard are as follows:
--- Modify the standard name;
--- Update the version number in the normative references; add the quotation of GB/T 4334, NB/T 47013.7, NB/T 47014 and JB4723; delete the quotation of GB/T 2970, GB/T 3531, GB/T 7734, GB/T 8165, ASME and EN standards; delete the year number of NB/T 47013.3;
--- Modify the base layer thickness range into 8~100mm; modify the base metal thickness deviation to be the standard positive and negative deviation values of base metal minus 0.5mm, respectively;
--- Delete the cladding metal designations S11348, S31703, S39042, S21953 and S22053, and the base metal designations 15CrMoR, 16MnDR, 09MnNiDR and
P355GH;
--- Add the technical requirements of the base metal, which shall also comply with the provisions of GB/T 150.2 or JB4732;
--- Add the provisions for the mechanical properties of the base layer; --- Improve the provisions for the delivery status and welding repair;
--- Supplement the side bending test of single-sided clad plate;
--- Modify the sampling frequency of mechanical properties and process properties. The Appendix A of this Standard is informative.
This Standard was proposed by the Manufacturing and Management Department of the Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd.

Stainless Steel – Steel Rolled Clad Plate for Pressure Vessel
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and code, size, shape, weight, technical requirements, inspection and testing, packaging, marking and quality certificates of stainless steel-steel clad plates for pressure vessels produced by the rolling method.
This Standard applies to rolled clad steel plates for pressure vessels produced by Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. with stainless steel as cladding metal, carbon steel or low-alloy steel as base metal, and a total thickness of no less than 8mm; hereinafter referred to as steel clad plate. It is used to manufacture single-sided, double-sided symmetrical and asymmetrical thick clad plates of stainless-steel cladding metal for various pressure vessels and storage tanks in the petroleum, chemical, light industry, seawater desalination, and nuclear industries.

The cladding material in the clad steel plate that is the stainless steel in contact with the working medium for corrosion resistance and pollution prevention.
3.4 Rolled compounding method
The metallurgical compounding method between the base metal and the cladding metal through the rolling process.
3.5 Compound contact interface
The interface between base metal and cladding metal of the clad steel plate. 3.6 Percentage of unbonded area
The ratio of the total area of the unbonded area of the compound contact interface to the total area of the clad plate, which is expressed as a percentage.
3.7 Yield strength (Re)
The general term for the upper yield strength ReH, lower yield strength ReL, specified plastic extension strength Rp0.2, specified total extension strength Rt0.5 and specified residual extension strength Rr0.2 in GB/T 228.1. When determining the standard value of the yield strength of the clad plate, the base metal and the cladding metal shall respectively select one of the above-mentioned five performance names as the basis for calculation according to the corresponding material standards.
4 Classification and Code
4.1 Manufacturing method
4.1.1 The clad steel plate is manufactured by the hot-rolled compounding method. 4.1.2 The cladding metal of the clad steel plate may be compounded on one or both sides of the base metal. The thickness of the cladding metals on both sides may be the same or different as required.
4.2 Grade and code of clad steel plate
According to different applications, the grades and codes of clad steel plates are shown in Table 1. For double-sided clad plate, when the grades of the two sides are different, the grades of the two sides shall be indicated separately.

Ordered according to this Standard Q/BQB 695-2020, the Grade-2 double-sided rolled clad steel plate with cladding metal 1 (i.e.: with one side of cladding metal) of 3mm-thick S30403 (standard number: GB/T 24511) stainless steel plate, base metal of 30mm-thick Q345R (standard number: GB/T 713) steel plate, cladding metal 2 (i.e.: with the other side of cladding metal) of 2mm-thick S30403 (standard number: GB/T 24511) stainless steel plate, width of 3000mm and length of 10000mm may be marked as follows:
(S30403 + Q345R + S30403) - (3 + 30 + 2) × 3000 × 10000 - R2 -Q/BQB 695-2020 or (S30403 + Q345R + S30403) - (3 + 30 + 2) × 3000 × 10000 - R2 - Q/BQB 695-2020 (GB/T 24511 + GB/T 713 + GB/T 24511)
5 Ordering Content
The contract or order for ordering products according to this Standard shall include the following contents:
a) This Standard number, cladding metal and base metal standard numbers; b) Product name;
c) The designations of cladding metal and base metal;
d) The grade of clad plate;
e) Delivery status;
f) Size and weight;
g) purpose;
h) Special requirements.
above defects, they are allowed to be removed, but the minimum thickness of the coating metal shall be ensured after removal of the defects; otherwise, they shall be repaired by welding. Welding repair shall comply with the provisions of 7.3.2. The surface quality of the base metal shall comply with the provisions of the base metal standards.
8 Inspection and Testing
8.1 Inspection items
The exit-factory inspection items of clad steel plates shall be indicated in the contract and shall comply with the provisions of Table 10.
8.2 Number of specimens, sampling method, test method
The number of specimens, sampling methods, and test methods for each batch of clad steel plate inspection items shall comply with the provisions of Table 11. 8.3 Sampling frequency
8.3.1 Sampling frequency for chemical composition analysis
Smelt analysis of chemical composition shall be performed by furnace.
8.3.2 Sampling frequency of mechanical properties and process properties The clad steel plates shall be inspected and delivered in batches; and each batch shall be composed of clad steel plates produced by the same material combination (the cladding metal and the base metal are the same designation, the same thickness, and the same delivery state).
