Corrosion resistant 13Cr martensitic
stainless steel tubing and casing
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the technical conditions for the delivery of corrosion
resistant 13Cr martensitic stainless steel tubing and casing of Baoshan Iron and
Steel Co., Ltd..
This Standard applies to the seamless tubing and casing (hereinafter known as
tubing and casing for short) for oil and gas environments containing CO2 in oil
and gas production of the petroleum and natural gas industries.
The tubing and casing steel grades in this Standard are. BG13Cr-110, BG13Cr-
110U, BG13Cr-110S.
2 Normative references
The following documents are indispensable for the application of this document.
For the dated references, only the versions with the dates indicated are
applicable to this document. For the undated references, the latest version
(including all the amendments) are applicable to this document.

API SPEC 5CT.2011 Specification for casing and tubing
3 General
Unless otherwise specified in this Standard, the BG13Cr-110 described in this
Standard corresponds to the P110 of steel grades of API SPEC 5CT.2011. The
PSL1 requirement of P110 steel grade of API SPEC 5CT.2011 is generally
adopted for supplying. When the contract indicates that the product
specification level is PSL2 or PSL3, the PSL2 or PSL3 of P110 steel grade of
7.3 Maximum hardness
A full wall thickness hardness test shall be performed. The average hardness
value at each position and the allowable hardness change in the same quadrant
shall be in accordance with Table 2.
7.4 Charpy V-notch impact test requirements
The tubing and casing body and the coupling stock shall be subjected to a
Charpy V-notch impact test. The sample orientation, size, and minimum
absorbed energy requirements of all steel grades shall be in accordance with
Table 3. If other test temperatures are required, it shall be determined by
negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser.
7.5 Special requirements
According to the requirements of the purchaser, through negotiation between
the supplier and the purchaser, the corrosion-resistant item can be inspected.
The specific requirements are stipulated by agreement between both parties.
8 Dimensions, weight, tolerance, pipe ends, and
defects
8.1 Dimensions
Tubing and casing having an outer diameter of 73.02mm~339.72mm (2-
7/8"~13-3/8") and a wall thickness of 5.51mm~20.24mm (0.217"~0.797") can
be supplied. Through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, and
indicated in the contract, other specifications may also be supplied.
8.2 Pipe ends
Unless otherwise specified in the contract, the tubing and casing shall be
threaded as specified in API SPEC 5B. According to the requirements of the
purchaser, through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, and
indicated in the contract, other special threads may also be used. The specific
requirements shall be determined by agreement between the supplier and the
purchaser.
8.3 Other
The designation, specification, length, straightness, dimension and weight
tolerances, defects, etc. of all steel grades involved in this Standard shall
comply with the provisions of P110 steel grade of API SPEC 5CT.2011. The

a The sample size shall be as large as possible. When it is not sufficient to select a 1/2
size sample, the impact test may not be performed.
b The sample orientation and size sequence and the evaluation of test results shall be
in accordance with API SPEC 5CT.2011.
c The test temperature of BG13Cr-110 steel grade is 0°C. The test temperature of
BG13Cr-110U and BG13Cr-110S steel grades is -10°C.
10.3 Nondestructive testing
BG13Cr-110, BG13Cr-110U, BG13Cr-110S tubing, casings, and coupling
stocks shall, according to the requirements of PSL1 of P110 steel grade in API
SPEC 5CT.2011, be subjected to nondestructive testing one by one. The
coupling shall also be inspected for magnetic particle on the inner and outer
surfaces one by one.
Through negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser, and indicated in
the contract, according to the PSL2 or PSL3 requirements of API SPEC
5CT.2011, nondestructive testing can also be carried out.
10.4 Full wall thickness hardness test
The full wall thickness hardness test shall be carried out in one quadrant. The
sampling position and number of samples shall comply with the requirements
of Table 4. If the result of the full wall thickness hardness test does not meet the
specified requirements, another two products can be taken from the same batch
for retesting. If the retest result meets the specified requirements, this batch is
judged as qualified. The supplier may re-heat the products which fail the re-test
and submit them for testing and acceptance as a new batch.
10.5 Quantitative metallographic test
When the user requests, through negotiation between the supplier and the
purchaser, and indicated in the contract, the quantitative metallographic test
can be carried out.
