This Standard is drafted in accordance with the requirements and format of GB/T 1.1- 2009 Directives for Standardization - Part 1. Structure and Drafting of Standards. This Standard is drafted in accordance with the characteristics of products and techniques of this enterprise.

This Standard serves as a replacement of Q/BQB 151-2014. In comparison with Q/BQB 151-2014, there are several main changes as follows.
---Normative reference is modified into the newest applicable version; chemical composition analysis and test method is deleted;
---The technical requirements of 300 mm and 380 mm specification of round billet are added;
---Length and allowable deviation. ?€?through the negotiation between the demand side and the supply side, a certain ratio of short ruler billet can be delivered?€? is further clarified into ?€?through the negotiation between the demand side and the supply side, a certain ratio of short ruler billet that is not shorter than 4.5 m can be delivered?€?;
---The requirement of appearance quality becomes more rigorous and refined; detailed stipulations regarding defect cleaning depth and shape are newly added;

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the dimension, appearance, weight, allowable deviation, technical requirements, inspection and test, packaging, marking and inspection documents of continuous casting round billet.
This Standard is applicable to continuous casting round billet of superior carbon structural steel and alloy steel that are manufactured by Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. 2 Normative References

3 Information Needed for Ordering
During ordering, users need to provide the following information.
a) Standard number of this enterprise;
b) Nameplate;
c) Specification;
d) Weight;
e) Other special requirements.

Out-of-roundness of 300 mm and 380 mm specification of round billet shall be not more than 1.8% of the nominal diameter.
Out-of-roundness of other specifications of round billet shall be not more than 85% of the diameter tolerance.
NOTE. the formula of calculating out-of-roundness is. ?€?out-of-roundness=Dmax - Dmin?€?; Dmax and Dmin respectively represent the maximum value and minimum value of the same cross-sectional diameter of the practically measured round billet. In the measurement of out-of-roundness, flat zone of round billet is also included. In other words, the measurement result will not eliminate the factor of flat zone. 4.3.3 End face oblique
The end face of ??? 150 mm, ??? 178 mm and ??? 195 mm specification of round billet shall be vertical to the axis; the oblique shall be not more than 6 mm.
The end face oblique of ??? 300 mm and ??? 380 mm specification of round billet shall be not more than 3??; the maximum value shall not exceed 10 mm.
4.4 Weight
Round billet shall be delivered in accordance with its practical weight. Through the negotiation between the demand side and the supply side, and it shall be indicated in the contract, round billet can also be delivered in accordance with its theoretical weight. 5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Nameplate and Chemical Composition
The nameplate and chemical composition (smelting analysis) of steel shall comply with the stipulation in corresponding standards of Baoshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. and other standards.
5.2 Smelting Method
Steel shall be smelted through electric furnace. In accordance with the technical requirements of different steel grades, corresponding external refining techniques shall be adopted.
