Scope

1.1 This standard specifies the construction requirements for the type and materials,
design, manufacturing, inspection and acceptance of simple pressure vessels
(hereinafter referred to as "vessels").
1.2 This standard applies to mass-produced vessels, that meet the following conditions.
a) The design pressure is less than or equal to 1.6 MPa;
b) The design temperature is greater than or equal to -20 °C; the maximum operating
temperature is less than or equal to 150 °C;
c) The volume is less than or equal to 1.0 m3;
d) The product of working pressure and volume is less than or equal to 1.0 MPa·m3;
e) The medium is air, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, inert gas, water vapor evaporated
from medical distilled water, or a mixture of the above gases (vapors); the
medium is allowed to contain other components such as oil that are not enough
to change the characteristics of the medium, but its flash point or ignition point
shall be 30 °C higher than the maximum working temperature of the vessel,
without affecting the compatibility with the material;
f) The structure meets the requirements of 4.1.1.
1.3 The following products do not fall within the scope of this standard.
a) Vessels used in military equipment, nuclear facilities, aerospace vehicles, offshore
facilities, ships;
b) Non-independent pressure-bearing parts on the machine (such as compressor
cylinder, etc.);
c) Fire extinguisher;
d) Quick opening vessel;
e) Mobile vessels;
f) Vessels that require fatigue analysis and design;
g) Vessels heated by direct flame;
h) Vacuum vessel;
i) Hazardous chemical packaging.
1.4 Vessel scope
1.4.1 Connection between vessel and external pipeline.
a) The groove surface of the first circumferential joint of the welded connection;
b) The end face of the first threaded joint of the threaded connection;
c) The first flange sealing surface of the flange connection;
d) The first sealing surface of a special connector or pipe connection.
1.4.2 Pressure-bearing heads, flat covers, fasteners of nozzles, hand holes, etc.
1.4.3 Welded joints between non-pressure components and pressure components.
1.4.4 Non-pressure components directly connected to the vessel, such as supports, etc.
1.4.5 Overpressure relief device directly connected to the vessel.
