1.1 This document specifies the alternating current field measurement testing method and quality grading requirements for pressure equipment. 1.2 This document is applicable to alternating current field measurement testing for surface- breaking defects in welded joints of metallic materials in pressure equipment, alternating current field measurement testing for underwater metal welded joints, and full-wall-thickness alternating current field measurement testing for thin-walled austenitic stainless steel butt joints used in nuclear engineering. 1.3 Alternating current field measurement testing of near-surface defects in welded joints of metallic materials shall be conducted in accordance with this document. 1.4 Alternating current field measurement testing of metal components, supports, and structural parts shall be conducted in accordance with this document.
