1    Subject content and application scope 
This Standard specifies wheat germ’s (germ flakes, germ flour) quality standard,
inspection rules, test methods, packing marks and packaging, transportation and storage.
This Standard is applicable to processing, sales, distribution, storage and export of
commercial wheat germ (germ flakes, germ flour).

Products are classified into flakes, coarse grains and flours, based on shapes.
4    Technical requirements 
Wheat germs (germ flakes, germ flour) are graded based on processing degree and crude
