Rolling bearings - Specifications for vibration (velocity) of
cylindrical roller bearings
1 Scope
This standard specifies the vibration (velocity) technical conditions of the N-type, NU-
type, NJ-type, NF-type cylindrical roller bearings, whose external dimensions conform
to GB/T 283-2007, which have a diameter series 2 and 3, a nominal inner diameter of
15 mm ~ 120 mm, a radial clearance conforming to group 0 clearance specified in GB/T
4604-2006 (hereinafter referred to as bearings).
Group V specified in this standard is the basic requirement for vibration (velocity) of
general-purpose bearings. "V" is not marked on the bearings. Groups V1, V2, V3 are
suitable for bearings that require vibration (velocity).
This standard applies to the production inspection and user acceptance of finished
bearings by the manufacturer.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through
reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent amendments
(excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard; however, parties who
reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest versions
of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition of the
referenced document applies.

3 Terms and definitions, group code
3.1 The terms and definitions, which are defined in GB/T 24610.4-2009, apply to this
standard.
3.2 The vibration group codes, which are established in JB/T 2974-2004, are applicable
to this standard.
4 Measurement and evaluation methods
4.1 The measurement method shall be in accordance with the provisions in Appendix
A.
4.2 Under the specified measurement method, select three positions for measurement,
which are approximately equidistant in the circumferential direction of the outer
cylindrical surface of the bearing outer ring. The arithmetic mean value of the vibration
(velocity) of the three positions, in a certain frequency band, is the vibration (velocity)
of the bearing in this frequency band. For bearings that need to be tested on both sides,
take the larger vibration (velocity) value of a certain frequency band on the two sides
as the vibration (velocity) value of this frequency band of the bearing.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 For cylindrical roller bearings, which have an inner diameter of 15 mm ~ 60 mm,
the vibration (velocity) of individual bearings of different groups shall meet the
requirements in Table 1.
5.2 For cylindrical roller bearings, which have an inner diameter of 65 mm ~ 120 mm,
the vibration (velocity) of individual bearings of different groups shall meet the
requirements in Table 2.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 A single bearing (referring to any set of bearings in the sample) is measured
according to the provisions of this standard. When the vibration (velocity) value of any
The physical quantity, which is set during measurement, is the radial vibration velocity
Vr.m.s (unit in μm/s).
A.3.2 Frequency range
It is set to measure vibration (velocity) signals in three frequency bands of low
frequency (L), medium frequency (M), high frequency (H); its frequency range is
according to the provisions of Table 2 in GB/T 24610.4-2009.
A.3.3 Test procedure
The test procedure is in accordance with the provisions in 5.4 of GB/T 24610.4-2009.
For NJ-type and NF-type cylindrical roller bearings, apply an axial load, which is not
greater than 30 N, on the end face of the outer ring, according to the direction in which
the bearing can bear the axial load, to ensure stable operation.
For U-type and NU-type cylindrical roller bearings, it shall be ensured that the inner
and outer rings do not have relative axial displacement, during the test; the maximum
axial relative displacement of the end faces of the inner and outer rings shall not exceed
0.5 mm. When there is any objection to the test results, both front side and back side
tests shall be carried out.
The test duration shall be in accordance with the provisions in 6.5 of GB/T 24610.1-
2009. If the steady state cannot be reached within 5 minutes from the start of the test,
the bearing will be treated as a non-conforming product.
A.4 Measurement conditions
A.4.1 Measurement conditions for bearings
The measurement conditions of the bearings shall be in accordance with the provisions
in 6.1 of GB/T 24610.4-2009. If there is any objection to the test results, the test results
shall be based on the condition that it is effectively cleaned with NY-120 solvent oil;
after the solvent oil has evaporated to dryness, it is fully lubricated with L-AN15 total
loss system oil. NY-120 solvent oil is not allowed to contain tetraethyl lead; meanwhile
it shall be filtered through a filter, which has a filtration accuracy of not less than 0.45
μm. The oil used in the L-AN15 total loss system shall be filtered through a filter, which
has a filtration accuracy of not less than 0.8 μm. Other technical requirements shall be
in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 3141-1994.
A.4.2 Test environment and test device conditions
The requirements for the test environment and test device conditions are in accordance
with the provisions in 6.2 and 6.3 of GB/T 24610.4-2009.
A.4.2.1 The radial circular runout of the main shaft system (after being combined with
