Scope

This Part of JB/T 10441 specifies the names, codes, test methods, requirements,
inspection rules, packaging, transportation, and storage of substrates for manufacturing
crepe insulating papers for electrical purposes and crepe paper products.
The manufacturing of crepe insulating papers for electrical purposes can be divided into
one-step and two-step methods. One-step crepe paper is a type of crepe paper
manufactured using an intermediate process of an undried flat web base paper. The
fibers used and the process of preparing the paper should comply with the requirements
of IEC 60554-3-1 "Specification for cellulosic papers for electrical purposes". Two-step
crepe paper is a crepe paper manufactured using a crepe process that complies with IEC
60554-3-1 "Specification for cellulosic papers for electrical purposes".
Crepe insulating papers for electrical purposes is mainly used for wrapping insulation
of oil immersed transformers, reactors, and transformers.
