Scope

This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging,
transportation and storage of neodymium metal.
This Standard is applicable to neodymium metal, which is produced through molten salt
electrolysis method using neodymium oxide as the raw material, and is mainly used as a raw
material for permanent magnetic materials, for example, neodymium iron boron, and an
additive for rare earth functional materials, for example, rare earth magnesium alloys.
