Foreword
GB/T 6995 " Markings for electric wires and cables" is divided into five parts.
- Part 1. General requirements;
- Part 2. Standard colours;
- Part 3. Identifications of cables and wires;
- Part 4. Identifications of insulated conductors of cables and wires for electrical
appliances and equipments;
- Part 5. Identifications of insulated cores of power cables.
This Part is part 4 of GB/T 6995.
This Part replaces GB 6995.4-1986 “Markings for electric cables and wires - Part 4.
Identifications of insulated conductors of cables and wires for electrical appliances and
equipments”.
Compared with GB 6995.4-1986, the main changes of this Part are as follows.
- Add the chapter “Normative References” (see Chapter 2);
- The chapter and clause numbers of “Conductor Identification” are adjusted; the
numbers for the “Identification of Earthing Conductor or Similar Protection-
oriented Conductors” are adjusted accordingly (Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of
previous edition; Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 of this edition);
- Add the chapter “Identification of Neutral Wire Conductor” (see Chapter 5);
- Adjust the chapter and clause numbers of “Identification of Other Conductors”
(Chapter 4 of previous edition; Chapter 6 of this edition);
- In Table 1, the 2.7 in the first column is modified to be 2.4 (Table 1 of previous
edition; Table 1 of this edition).
This Part was proposed by China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on Wires and
Cables of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 213).
