Sanitary wares
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification and
marking, general technical requirements, technical requirements for Pan and
urinal, technical requirements for lavatory, bidet, sink, test methods, inspection
rules, signs and markings, instruction manual for installation and use,
packaging, transportation, storage of sanitary ware.
This standard is applicable to the production, sales, installation, use of various
sanitary ware products, which are installed on water supply and drainage
pipelines, after being matched with various corresponding accessories, in civil
or public buildings.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For
the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable
to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including
all the amendments) is applicable to this standard.

d) The mass of the lavatory should not exceed 20 kg;
e) The mass of wall-hang urinals should not exceed 15 kg;
f) Special engineering products can be in accordance with the requirements
of contract.
5.7 Load bearing capacity
After the load bearing capacity test, there shall be neither deformation nor
visible structural damage. The loads borne by various products are as follows:
a) The pedestal pan and bidet shall be able to withstand a load of 3.0 kN;
b) Wall-hang lavatory, sinks, hand-rinse basins shall be able to withstand a
load of 1.1 kN;
c) Wall-hang urinals shall be able to withstand a load of 0.22 kN;
d) The shower tray shall bear a load of 1.47 kN.
5.8 Technical requirements for matching
5.8.1 Matching requirements of pan and urinal
5.8.1.1 Flushing device
The pan and urinal products shall be equipped with flushing devices, that meet
the water consumption requirements; it shall ensure their overall tightness.
5.8.1.2 Gravity flushing device
The gravity flushing device, which is matched to the pan and urinal products,
shall meet the requirements of GB 26730.
5.8.1.3 Pressurized flushing device
The pressurized flushing device, which is matched to the pan and urinal
products, shall meet the requirements of GB/T 26750.
5.8.1.4 Anti-siphon function
The matching flushing device shall have an anti-siphon function.
5.8.1.5 Safe water level
The safe water level of the gravity flushing cistern, which is used for pan and
urinal, shall meet the requirements of 5.4.1 in GB 26730-2011. The safe water
level of the hidden cistern shall meet the requirements of 5.4.10.2 in GB 26730-
2011.
5.8.1.6 Seat and cover of pedestal pan
The pedestal pan products shall be equipped with seat and cover. It shall
comply with the requirements of JC/T 764. The equipped electronic seat and
cover shall also comply with the requirements of JG/T 285 and GB/T 23131.
5.8.2 Water supply fittings and drainage fittings
5.8.2.1 The equipped hoses for sanitary ware shall meet the requirements of
GB/T 23448.
5.8.2.2 The drainage fittings equipped shall comply with the requirements of
JC/T 932.
5.8.3 Sanitary ware support
The sanitary ware support, which is equipped on the pedestal pan with matched
hidden cistern AND the wall-hang product, shall meet the requirements of GB
26730.
5.8.4 Water trap
Sanitary ceramic products, which have no integral traps, shall be equipped with
traps, which have a water seal depth of not less than 50 mm. The pipe's drift
diameter shall meet the requirements of 6.1.5.
Note: When a trap, which has a water seal depth of not less than 50 mm, has been
installed in the drainage pipe of a building, it is not equipped with traps.
6 Technical requirements for pan and urinal
6.1 Size requirements
6.1.1 Installation distance of sewage draining exit of pedestal pan
6.1.1.1 The installation distance of the sewage draining exit of the bottom-drain
pedestal pan shall be 305 mm; if necessary, it may be 200 mm or 400 mm. In
special circumstances, it may be in accordance with the requirements of
contract.
6.1.1.2 The installation distance of the sewage draining exit of the back-drain
floor-standing pedestal pan shall be 180 mm or 100 mm. In special
circumstances, it may be in accordance with the requirements of contract.
6.1.2 Sewage draining exits for pedestal pans and squatting pans
able to let a solid ball, which has a diameter of 41 mm, pass.
6.1.5.3 The water channels of jet siphon urinals and flush-down urinals, which
have integral water traps, shall be able to let a solid ball, which has a diameter
of 23 mm, pass; OR the cross-sectional area of the water channel shall be more
than 4.2 cm2. The water channel of other types of urinals shall be able to let a
solid ball, which has a diameter of 19 mm, pass; OR the cross-sectional area
of the water channel shall be more than 2.8 cm2.
6.1.6 Seat of pedestal pan
6.1.6.1 Seat size of pedestal pan
The size of the pedestal pan's seat shall comply with the provisions of Figure
B.4. Where there is special requirement, it shall be in accordance with the
requirements of the contract.
6.1.6.2 Mounting hole of pedestal pan's cover
6.1.6.2.1 The diameter of the mounting hole shall be 15 mm.
6.1.6.2.2 The center distance shall be 140 mm or 155 mm.
6.1.6.2.3 The deviation of the hole from the center line shall meet the
requirements of Table 5.
6.1.6.2.4 The roundness of the hole shall meet the requirements of Table 5.
6.1.6.3 The distance from the mounting holes of the pedestal pan's cover
to the edge
The distance from the mounting holes of the pedestal pan's cover to the edge:
it shall be 419 mm for the ordinary adult type; 470 mm for the adult lengthened
type; 380 mm for the toddler type.
6.1.6.4 Seat width of pedestal pan
Seat width of pedestal pan: It shall be 356 mm for the adult type; 280 mm for
toddler type.
6.1.6.5 The seat height above the ground
The height of the seat from the ground: It shall be not less than 370 mm for
adult type; not less than 245 mm for toddler type; not less than 420 mm for the
disabled/elderly dedicated type.
6.1.7 Water inlet of pedestal pan
Carry out the particle discharge test, in accordance with the provisions of 8.8.6.
Perform 3 consecutive tests. The average number of visible polyethylene
particles, which are remaining in the pedestal pan's trap, is not more than 125
for 3 tests; the average number of visible nylon balls for 3 tests is not more than
5.
6.2.2.3.3 Mixed medium discharge function
Water-saving pedestal pans shall be tested for the mixed medium discharge
function, according to 8.8.7. The mixed medium (sponge strips and tissue balls),
which are flushed out of the pedestal pan for the first test, shall be not less than
22. The number medium, which is flushed out for the first test of the toddler
pedestal pan, shall be not less than 11. If there is residual medium, all shall be
flushed out during the second test.
6.2.2.4 Delivery characteristics of drainage pipeline
Carry out the pipeline delivery characteristic test, according to 8.8.8. The
average delivery distance of the ball shall not be less than 12 m.
6.2.2.5 Water seal's restoration function
Carry out the test as specified in 8.8.9. The restoration of the water seal shall
not be less than 50 mm. If it is a siphon pedestal pan, there shall be a siphon
every time.
6.2.2.6 Sewage replacement function
Conduct the sewage replacement test, according to 8.8.10. The dilution rate of
the single flush pedestal pan shall not be less than 100. For the double flush
pedestal pan, only the half-flush sewage replacement test is carried out; the
dilution rate shall not be less than 25.
6.2.2.7 Tissue test
The double-flush pedestal pan shall be subject to a half flush tissue ball test, in
accordance with the provisions of 8.8.11; the test shall be performed 3 times.
There shall be no visible tissue in the pedestal pan's bowl each time.
6.2.3 Urinal function
6.2.3.1 Washable function
Carry out the ink line test, according to 8.8.4.2. The total length of the
accumulated residual ink line, after each flushing, is not more than 25 mm. The
length of each segment of the residual ink line is not more than 13 mm.
6.2.3.2 Sewage replacement function
The urinal, which is equipped with integral trap, shall be tested for sewage
replacement, according to 8.8.10. The dilution rate of the urinal shall not be less
than 100.
6.2.3.3 Restoration oof water seal
The urinal, which has an integral trap, shall be tested, in accordance with 8.8.9.
The water seal restoration shall not be less than 50 mm. The siphon urinal shall
have a siphon every time.
6.2.3.4 Function of water-free urinal
See Appendix G, for functional requirements and test methods of water-free
urinals.
6.2.4 Flushing function of squatting pan
6.2.4.1 Washable function
Carry out the ink line test, as specified in 8.8.4.3. The total length of the
accumulated residual ink line, after each flushing, is not more than 50 mm. The
length of each segment of the residual ink line is not more than 13 mm.
6.2.4.2 Discharge function
Carry out the test, in accordance with the provisions of 8.8.12, for 3 times; at
least 10 test objects are flushed out of the sewage draining exit. The toddler
squatting pan shall have at least 7 test subjects flush out of the sewage draining
exit.
6.2.4.3 Splash-proof
According to 8.8.13, carry out the splash-proof test. No water splashes on the
template. Sputtered water droplets or water mist, which have a diameter of less
than 8 mm, are not counted.
6.2.4.4 Sewage replacement function
Conduct the sewage replacement test, according to 8.8.10. The dilution rate of
the single-flush squatting pan shall not be less than 100. The double-flush
squatting pan is only subject to the half-flush sewage replacement test; the
dilution rate shall not be less than 25.
6.3 Pedestal pan's flushing noise
Measure the pedestal pan's flushing noise, according to 8.10. The cumulative
percentage sound level L50 of flushing noise shall not exceed 55 dB(A). The
cumulative percentage sound level L10 shall not exceed 65 dB(A).
8.3 Dimensions
8.3.1 Inspection workbench
The inspection workbench, which is composed of a horizontal work surface and
a vertical work surface.
8.3.2 Measuring tools
Measuring tools include:
a) Steel ruler, steel tape measure, which has a graduation value of 1 mm;
b) Square ruler, which has an accuracy of 1°;
c) Vernier caliper, which has a graduation value of 0.02 mm;
d) Water seal ruler, which has a graduation value of 1 mm;
e) Feeler gauge, which has a graduation of 0.5 mm;
f) Cone of tape measure and cone;
g) Measuring instruments, which have similar functions.
8.3.3 Dimensions
8.3.3.1 Length, width
Place the tested sample, on the horizontal working surface of the testing bench.
Make the one end to be tested, close to the vertical working surface. Put the
square vertically on the horizontal working surface AND close to the other end
to be tested. Then use a steel ruler, to measure the distance of two measuring
points, between the vertical working surface and the square, along the center
line, which is the length or width of the product.
8.3.3.2 Height
Place the tested end of the sample on a horizontal working surface. Place the
steel ruler close to the other tested end, in the width direction; make it parallel
to the horizontal working surface. Use a square, to measure the distance
between the horizontal working surface and the steel ruler, which is the height
value of the product.
8.3.4 Hole size
8.3.4.1 Hole diameter and roundness

1 Scope

level of the hidden cistern shall meet the requirements of 5.4.10.2 in GB 26730-
2011.
5.8.1.6 Seat and cover of pedestal pan
The pedestal pan products shall be equipped with seat and cover. It shall
comply with the requirements of JC/T 764. The equipped electronic seat and
cover shall also comply with the requirements of JG/T 285 and GB/T 23131.
5.8.2 Water supply fittings and drainage fittings

GB/T 23448.

6 Technical requirements for pan and urinal
6.1 Size requirements
6.1.1 Installation distance of sewage draining exit of pedestal pan
6.1.1.1 The installation distance of the sewage draining exit of the bottom-drain
pedestal pan shall be 305 mm; if necessary, it may be 200 mm or 400 mm. In
special circumstances, it may be in accordance with the requirements of
contract.
6.1.1.2 The installation distance of the sewage draining exit of the back-drain
floor-standing pedestal pan shall be 180 mm or 100 mm. In special
circumstances, it may be in accordance with the requirements of contract.
6.1.2 Sewage draining exits for pedestal pans and squatting pans
able to let a solid ball, which has a diameter of 41 mm, pass.
6.1.5.3 The water channels of jet siphon urinals and flush-down urinals, which
have integral water traps, shall be able to let a solid ball, which has a diameter
of 23 mm, pass; OR the cross-sectional area of the water channel shall be more
than 4.2 cm2. The water channel of other types of urinals shall be able to let a
solid ball, which has a diameter of 19 mm, pass; OR the cross-sectional area
of the water channel shall be more than 2.8 cm2.
6.1.6 Seat of pedestal pan
6.1.6.1 Seat size of pedestal pan
The size of the pedestal pan's seat shall comply with the provisions of Figure
B.4. Where there is special requirement, it shall be in accordance with the
requirements of the contract.
6.1.6.2 Mounting hole of pedestal pan's cover
6.1.6.2.1 The diameter of the mounting hole shall be 15 mm.
6.1.6.2.2 The center distance shall be 140 mm or 155 mm.
6.1.6.2.3 The deviation of the hole from the center line shall meet the
requirements of Table 5.
6.1.6.2.4 The roundness of the hole shall meet the requirements of Table 5.
6.1.6.3 The distance from the mounting holes of the pedestal pan's cover
to the edge
The distance from the mounting holes of the pedestal pan's cover to the edge:
it shall be 419 mm for the ordinary adult type; 470 mm for the adult lengthened
type; 380 mm for the toddler type.
6.1.6.4 Seat width of pedestal pan
Seat width of pedestal pan: It shall be 356 mm for the adult type; 280 mm for

Carry out the test, in accordance with the provisions of 8.8.12, for 3 times; at
least 10 test objects are flushed out of the sewage draining exit. The toddler
squatting pan shall have at least 7 test subjects flush out of the sewage draining
exit.
6.2.4.3 Splash-proof
According to 8.8.13, carry out the splash-proof test. No water splashes on the
template. Sputtered water droplets or water mist, which have a diameter of less
than 8 mm, are not counted.

Conduct the sewage replacement test, according to 8.8.10. The dilution rate of
the single-flush squatting pan shall not be less than 100. The double-flush
squatting pan is only subject to the half-flush sewage replacement test; the
dilution rate shall not be less than 25.
6.3 Pedestal pan's flushing noise
Measure the pedestal pan's flushing noise, according to 8.10. The cumulative
percentage sound level L50 of flushing noise shall not exceed 55 dB(A). The
cumulative percentage sound level L10 shall not exceed 65 dB(A).
8.3 Dimensions
8.3.1 Inspection workbench
The inspection workbench, which is composed of a horizontal work surface and
a vertical work surface.
8.3.2 Measuring tools
Measuring tools include:
a) Steel ruler, steel tape measure, which has a graduation value of 1 mm;
b) Square ruler, which has an accuracy of 1°;
c) Vernier caliper, which has a graduation value of 0.02 mm;
d) Water seal ruler, which has a graduation value of 1 mm;
e) Feeler gauge, which has a graduation of 0.5 mm;
f) Cone of tape measure and cone;
g) Measuring instruments, which have similar functions.
8.3.3 Dimensions
8.3.3.1 Length, width
Place the tested sample, on the horizontal working surface of the testing bench.
Make the one end to be tested, close to the vertical working surface. Put the
square vertically on the horizontal working surface AND close to the other end
to be tested. Then use a steel ruler, to measure the distance of two measuring
points, between the vertical working surface and the square, along the center
line, which is the length or width of the product.
8.3.3.2 Height
Place the tested end of the sample on a horizontal working surface. Place the
steel ruler close to the other tested end, in the width direction; make it parallel
to the horizontal working surface. Use a square, to measure the distance
between the horizontal working surface and the steel ruler, which is the height
value of the product.
