Foreword
This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard replaced GB/T 6885-1986 Hardmetals - Sampling and Testing of Mixed
Powder. Compared with GB/T 6885-1986, this Standard made the major technical
changes as follows besides the editorial modifications:
--- Modify the description of batching in sampling (see 4.2 of this Edition; 3.2 of 1986
Edition);
--- Modify the process requirements for preparation of test pieces (see Clause 5 of
this Edition; Clause 4 of 1986 Edition);
--- Add the test methods for the Vickers hardness of hardmetals (see Clause 6 of
this Edition).
This Standard was formulated by using the re-drafting method and referring to ISO
4884:1978 Hardmetals – Sampling and Testing of Powders Using Sintered Test Pieces;
the degree of consistency between this Standard and ISO 4884:1978 is inequivalent.
This Standard was proposed by China Non-Ferrous Metals Industry Association.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for
Standardization of Non-ferrous Metals (SAC/TC 243).
Drafting organizations of this Standard: Zhuzhou Cemented Carbide Group Co., Ltd.;
Zigong Cemented Carbide Co., Ltd.; and Shenzhen Zhucheng Science and
Technology Co., Ltd.
Chief drafting staffs of this Standard: Mao Shanwen, Yao Xiongzhi, Liang Hong, Liu
Tiemei, Zhang Yue, and Li Siyuan.

1 Scope
This Standard specifies mixed powder sampling, test piece preparation and test
methods for determining the properties of hardmetals by sintering test pieces.
This Standard is applicable to the sampling and test methods of mixed powder of
hardmetals.
