Scope

This Part of GB/T 6187 specifies the dimensions, technical requirements and
designation of prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon nuts with flange, style 2 – fine
pitch thread.
This Part applies to prevailing torque type all-metal hexagon nuts, style 2, with thread
nominal diameter 8 mm to 20 mm, fine pitch thread, property class 6, 8 and 10 and of
product grades A and B. Product grade A is used for nuts with D ≤ 16 mm; and product
grade B is used for nuts with D > 16 mm.
Note. The dimensions of the nuts correspond to those given in GB/T 6177.2 plus prevailing
torque feature.
