Scope

This Part of GB/T 6183 specifies the type and dimension, technical conditions and
markings of prevailing torque type hexagon nuts with flange (with non-metallic insert),
style 2.
This Part is applicable to the prevailing torque type hexagon nuts with flange (with non-
metallic insert), style 2 with thread specification M5~M20, Property Class 8 and 10,
Product Grades A and B. Grade A is applied to the nuts with D≤16; while Grade B is
applied to the nuts with D >16mm.
NOTE. such nuts equal to GB/T 6177.1 plus effective torque part.
