Scope

This Part of GB/T 6172 specifies the type and dimension, technical conditions and
markings of prevailing torque type hexagon thin nuts (with non-metallic insert).
This Part is applicable to the prevailing torque type hexagon thin nuts (with non-metallic
insert) with Thread Specification M3~M36, Property Class 04, 05, Product Grade A and
B. If D≤16mm, use Grade A nuts; if D >16mm, use Grade B nuts.
NOTE. such nuts is equivalent to the GB/T 6172.1 plus the effective torque part.
