Scope

This Standard specifies tests, inspections and procedures (see ISO 7363) for verifying
the performance (including the operational parameters and its capability to lift rated
loads) of a crane.
This Standard is applicable to all types of cranes defined in ISO4306-1, which are put
into use for the first time after manufacturing, transformation, and repair of the load-
bearing structure or components of the crane.
When the rated lifting capacity of the crane depends on the stability, the specified test
procedure and test load can easily verify the allowable stability margin.
