Marine cast steel flanged check valve
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test
methods, inspection rules, packaging and storage for marine cast steel
flanged check valve of flange connection size and sealing surface according
to GB/T 4196, GB/T 2501 (hereinafter referred to as check valve).
This Standard is applicable to the design, manufacture and acceptance of
check valve for steam piping system of which the mediums are fresh water,
lubricating oil, fuel and temperature does not exceed 300°C.

4.2 Casting
The check valve castings per furnace shall be at least 3 test bars for
reference with furnace number. The shelf life shall not be less than 3a.
4.3 Strength
The check valve body strength, at 1.5 times design pressure of hydraulic
pressure, shall have no leakage.
4.4 Sealability
The check valve is in the reverse state. There shall be no leakage between
valve plate and valve seat when the sealing surface is reduced from 1.1 times
the design pressure to 0.3 MPa.
4.5 Dimensional tolerance
4.5.1 The wall thickness tolerance of check valve shall meet requirements
of 3.4 in GB/T 600-2008.
4.5.2 The unnoted linear dimensional tolerance of check valve shall meet
requirements of grade m in GB/T 1804-2000.
4.5.3 The structural length tolerance of check valve shall meet requirements
of GB/T 11698.
4.6 Geometric tolerance
The geometric tolerance of check valve shall meet requirements of grade K in
GB/T 1184-1996.
4.7 Appearance
The check valve appearance shall meet requirements of 3.10 in GB/T
600-2008.
4.8 Mass
See Table 2, Table 3 for check valve mass. The positive deviation of its mass
shall not exceed 4% of the theoretical mass.
4.9 Mark
The mark for check valve shall meet requirements of GB/T 3032.
8 Mark ● ● 4.9 5.8
NOTE ● for inspection item required; - for inspection item not required.
6.2.3 Quantity of inspection sample
The sample quantity for check valve type inspection shall be 3.
6.2.4 Determination rules
When all inspection items of check value meet requirements, the type
inspection shall be qualified. If material has unqualified check valve, the type
inspection shall be determined as unqualified. If there are other unqualified
items, it shall double sampling for re-inspection. If the re-inspection meets
requirements, the type inspection of check valve shall be determined as
qualified. If there is still unqualified item in re-inspection, the type inspection
of check valve shall be determined as unqualified.
6.3 Exit-factory inspection
6.3.1 Inspection items and sequence
The exit-factory inspection items and sequence of check valve shall be in
accordance with the provisions of Table 5.
6.3.2 Inspection quantity
For inspection items of check valve, the material inspection shall be carried
out in batches; other inspection items shall be carried out in products one by
one.
6.3.3 Determination rules
The check valve of which all inspection items meet requirements shall be
determined as qualified in exit-factory inspection. If the material of the check
valve does not meet requirements, this batch shall be unqualified in
exit-factory inspection. For inspection of other item, if there is unqualified
check valve, the re-inspection shall be carried out after rework. If the
re-inspection meets the requirements, this check valve shall be determined
as qualified in exit-factory inspection. If the re-inspection still does not meet
requirements, this check valve shall be determined as unqualified in
exit-factory inspection.
7 Packaging and storage
