1 Subject Content and Application Scope
This Standard specifies the general rules of identification, packaging, transportation and storage for rubber sealing products (hereinafter referred to as product). This Standard is applicable to the rubber sealing products, such as O-rings, V-rings, rotary shaft lip type seals, etc. The rubber and other rubber products can be used as reference.
2 Identification
2.1 Identification contents and requirements
2.1.1 The identification contents are as follows.
a. Product name, specification or code;
b. Product standard code;
c. Rubber compound standard code, and rubber compound code;
d. Date of vulcanization;
e. Product quantity;
f. Inspection batch No. and qualified stamp of manufacturer;
g. Manufacturer name or its code and trademark.
2.1.2 The identification shall be clear, eye-catching, firm and of appropriate size. 2.2 Product identification
2.2.1 The product identification shall conform to the provisions of 2.1 or relevant standard. The identification for export products and special products may be separately formulated by the supplier and the purchaser.
2.2.2 When it is appropriate to make identification mark on the product, the letters and numbers shall be used to mark on the non-working surface of the product. The identification content generally consists of product code, specification, etc. 2.2.3 When it is inappropriate to mark on the product, mark on the outer surface of the packaging bag (box, cabinet), or the packaging bag (box, cabinet) are attached with a card written the identification contents in 2.1.
2.3 Packaging mark
2.3.1 The outer surface of each inner packaging (including small and intermediate packaging) cases and containers shall be marked. The mark contents shall conform to the provisions of 2.1.
2.3.2 If packaging is made of transparent or translucent materials, when it is not marked on the outer surface of bag (box, cabinet), then the card with the identification content in 2.1 may be placed in the bag (box, cabinet) instead.
3 Packaging
3.1 Packaging preparation
3.1.1 In principle, the products contained in the same package shall be the ones with the same batch number, the same specification, and the same type.
3.1.2 The qualified products shall be clean and free of the pollution from dirt, dust, oil or grease. Preservatives shall not be applied to the product. Sharp objects such as metal shavings shall be prevented from damaging the product. Any part of the product is not allotted to be bundled or tied with a label.
3.2 Classification and requirements packaging and packing
3.2.1 Small package
3.2.1.1 Class-A
a. Each packaging bag (box, cabinet) can pack only one product.
b. The preferred inner size of the packaging bag (box, cabinet) shall be as follows. 55mm??55mm; 100mm??100mm; 150mm??150mm; 205mm??205mm,
330mm??330mm; 400mm??400mm, 550mm??550mm.
c. As shown in Figure 1, the same packaging bags with size 255mm below can be joined end to end to form a belt-type package; or eyelet can be placed in the middle of the sealing area of the package to form a sheet-type package. 3.2.2.1 Class-A
If required or required by the supplier, several small packages are further packaged together in an intermediate packaging container prior to packing. Its mass shall not exceed 5kg. The intermediate packaging container can use carboard box, corrugated carboard box or fiberboard box.
3.2.2.2 Class-B
Intermediate package is not required unless otherwise specified.
3.2.3 Packing
3.2.3.1 Class-A
Use wooden box, plywood box reinforced by wood slats, or fiberboard box reinforced by wood slats as the packing container. The packing container shall be equipped with box lining; and firmly tied and sealed; the gross weight after packing shall not exceed 90kg.
3.2.3.2 Class-B
a. Unless otherwise specified, the product shall be shipped in a packing container that conforms to the provisions of the contract. The packing shall be in accordance with transport provisions and regulations corresponding to the transport mode. It shall be possible to ensure that the product is safely transported to the place of delivery.
b. When the number of products sent to the same place is small, it is allowed to pack the products with different specifications into the same packing container; but the products with the same batch and the same specification shall be bundled together with small or intermediate package; then put them into the packing container and seal it.
c. When the product must be packed with its assembly equipment, the product shall be reserved in the packing bag (box, cabinet) with the original mark.
3.3 The rubber compounds shall adopt plastic bag to be sealed and packaged, then packed according to the Class-A requirements by referring to relevant requirements of this Clause. The net weight per box shall not exceed 50kg.
4 Transportation
4.1 During transportation, the product shall be avoid exposing to direct sunlight, rain and snow; it is strictly forbidden to contact with oil, grease, acid, alkali and other 5.1.6 Contact pollution
5.1.6.1 Liquid, semi-solid materials
The product is not allowed to come into contact with the liquids or semi-solid materials such as acid, alkali, solvents and greases during the storage period.
5.1.6.2 Metal
The product shall not be in contact with metals, especially copper and manganese during the storage period.
5.1.6.3 Parting powder
Any type of parting powder shall not contain the components that are harmful to the vulcanized rubber. The parting powder that is usually allowed to be used is talc powder, fine-particle mica powder.
5.1.6.4 Adhesive
Any used adhesive and surface treatment agents shall not have a detrimental effect on the vulcanized rubber.
5.1.6.5 Container, packaging and covering materials
Any container, packaging and covering materials shall not contain the substances that are harmful to the vulcanized rubber, such as copper naphthenate, creosote, etc. 5.1.6.6 Different rubber
The rubber products of different types and different formulations shall be avoid contacting with each other.
5.1.6.7 Biological hazards
Avoid the product damage and pollution from some animals, especially the rodents. Avoid worms and mold growing on the product.
5.2 Cleaning
When the product is required to be cleaned, water and neutral detergent can be used. Then dry it under room temperature. The following substances are forbidden to be used, such as abradant, trichloroethylene, carbon tetrachloride, hydrocarbon, and the like cleaning products.
