Scope

1.1 This Standard specifies the method for determination of textiles colour fastness
to drycleaning using perchloroethylene solvent.
1.2 This Standard is not applicable to assess the durability of textile finishing; neither
is it applicable to assess stain-removing operation capability of textile colour to dry-
clean shop.
1.3 This test only contains the test for colour fastness to drycleaning; if the
assessment of other drycleaning aspects is required, such as water spots, solvent
spots, steam press and iron, and etc., then other test methods shall be provided.
1.4 For certain textile materials, if the dry cleaning agent contains washing liquid or
water, it may change the performance of colour fastness to drycleaning. This test is
required to be conducted in case the fabric is in dry state; use the container without
any moisture, only use the dry cleaning agent to test.
1.5 If there is no further instruction, the colour fastness to drycleaning in this Standard
indicates that in the perchloroethylene solvent. However, if required, other types of
solvent can also be used.
