This Standard specifies the technical requirements, sampling, test methods, inspection rules, marks and quality certificates, packaging, transportation, and storage of fertilizer grade ammonium sulfate. This Standard applies to ammonium sulfate produced through the neutralization of synthetic ammonia with sulfuric acid, as well as to by-product ammonium sulfate obtained from coking, ammonia recovery, urea, caprolactam, and acrylonitrile production, or from ammonia-based desulfurization and other desulfurization processes.
