Scope

This document describes a method for the determination of chlorinated phenols in
footwear and footwear components using gas chromatography-tandem mass
spectrometry (GC-MS/MS).
This document is applicable to the determination of chlorinated phenols in textile,
leather, fur, synthetic leather, and artificial leather materials used in footwear and
footwear components. The determination of chlorinated phenols in other footwear
materials shall be conducted by reference to this document, following validation.
