Scope

This document describes four evaluation methods for the deodorant performance of absorbent
sanitary paper products and raw materials. detection tube method, gas detector method, liquid
chromatography - mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry, and gas chromatography - mass
spectrometry.
This document applies to the evaluation of the deodorant performance of absorbent sanitary
paper products, such as baby diapers (sheets, pads), adult diapers (sheets, pads), sanitary
napkins (panty liners), women’s sanitary pants, pet pee pads (pants), and paper cat litter, etc. It
also applies to the evaluation of the deodorant performance of raw materials, such as
superabsorbent resins, fluff pulp, top layer, composite absorbent core, diversion layer, absorbent
liner, and dust-free paper, etc. Other cat litter may take this as a reference.
