This document was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2020
"Directives for standardization - Part 1: Rules for the structure and drafting of
standardizing documents".
This document identically adopts ISO 20911 :2020 "Radio frequency identification
(RFID) tyre tags -- Tyre attachment classification".
This document has undergone the following minimal editorial changes:
- To coordinate with existing standards, the standard name is changed to "Tyre
attachment classification for radio frequency identification (RFID) tyre tags".
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be
the subject of patent rights. The issuing authority shall not be held responsible for
identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.

1 Scope
This document specifies the application of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
electronic tags (hereinafter referred to as RFID tags) for tyres based on different
technologies (embedded, patch, sticker), for users to understand their differences, goals,
possible applications, and limitations.
This document includes:
- General requirements for each technology;
- Recommended identification labels for RFID tyres.
This document does not include:
- Reference materials for tyre quality and related testing projects;
- Detailed reference materials for implantation location;
- Detailed reference materials on the properties of mixed rubber compounds;
- Detailed reference materials for tyre manufacturing processes.
