1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements and methods for carrying out functional
safety audits and assessments of functional safety-related activities and work results at
the concept stage and system level of safety-related electrical/electronic (E/E) systems,
so as to inspect and judge the development process and conformity of work products
with respect to functional safety.
This document applies to safety-related systems containing one or more
electrical/electronic (E/E) systems installed on production road vehicles other than
mopeds.
This document does not apply to specific electrical/electronic (E/E) systems on special
purpose vehicles, for example, vehicle systems designed for disabled drivers.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 34590.1-
2022 apply.
c) Is there evidence that the integrated system elements meet the safety requirements
designed according to the system architecture;
d) Verify whether the work results meet the corresponding requirements;
e) Is there evidence that the items integrated into the target vehicle achieve their
safety objectives;
f) Is there evidence that functional safety concepts and technical safety concepts are
appropriate for achieving functional safety of the item in question?
9.2 Input for audit and assessment
To carry out the audit and assessment process specified in this chapter, the following
inputs and their possible verification reports shall be available:
- Functional safety concept;
- Technical safety concept;
- Architectural design specifications;
- Software and hardware interface specifications;
- Integration and testing strategy;
- Integration and test reports;
- Verification plan;
- Verification specifications;
- Verification report;
- Hazard analysis and risk assessment report;
- Safety validation specifications that include a description of the safety validation
environment;
- Safety validation report.
9.3 Audit and assessment requirements
For verification and validation audits and assessments, the check items in Table 6 and
Table 7 shall be covered.
