This Document describes a sensor-based method for the determination of different headspace gas contents in plastic packaging container for food. This Document is applicable to the determination of the content of oxygen, carbon dioxide and other gases inside the packaging of food plastics and plastics and other materials composite materials that can be pierced by sampling needles. The detection of headspace gas in airtight packaging container of other materials can be carried out by reference of this Document.
