1 Scope
This document specifies the test overview, test equipment, sample processing, test steps, and results determination for the fluidity test method of liquid or solid identification of chemicals.
This document applies to the liquid or solid identification of viscous or pasty chemicals whose melting point cannot be determined.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions are applicable to this document.
3.1
Flow point
The minimum temperature at which a sample can flow when it is cooled under specified conditions.

Penetration depth
The depth that the duralumin sieve tray penetrates the sample vertically at the lowest point, under specified conditions,

4 Test overview
Place the sample in the sample cup and seal it. Place it upright for more than 30 minutes; keep the constant temperature to 35.0 ??C ?? 0.5 ??C; then,
immediately put the sample cup on the fluidity tester to measure the penetration depth. Determine the chemical solid-liquid form according to the test time and penetration depth.
5 Test equipment
5.1 Liquidity tester
Main components of the liquidity tester (see Appendix A for schematic diagram) include.
a) Guide rod: A guide rod that is composed of a rigid rod, which has a "step" at the upper end and a suitable structure for connecting a duralumin sieve tray with a tapered hole at the lower end. The appearance shall be
polished to be smooth. The mass is 47.50 g ?? 0.05 g; the dimensions and tolerances are shown in Figure 1.
b) Duralumin sieve tray with tapered holes: the mass is 102.50 g ?? 0.05 g; the dimensions and tolerances are shown in Figure 1.
c) Sample cup: the inner diameter is 72 mm ~ 80 mm.
d) Time controller: the accuracy is ??0.1 s.
e) Vernier caliper: the graduation value is ??0.1 mm.
5.2 Explosion-proof oven
The accuracy is ??0.5 ??C; it can maintain a constant temperature of 35.0 ??C ?? 0.5 ??C.
5.3 Scraper
A corrosion-resistant square-headed hard blade whose width is about 20 mm and length is not less than 150 mm.
