4 General requirements
4.1 The configuration of facilities and equipment shall meet the needs of basic
operations such as finished vehicle transport, loading and unloading, storage,
handover, and supporting service requirements for production and life.
4.2 The configuration of facilities and equipment shall meet the requirements
for spatial connection, ability matching, smooth flow, and convenient operation
when the finished vehicle multimodal transport operation is converted between
different modes of transport.
4.3 The configuration of facilities and equipment shall meet the requirements of
safety, economy, efficiency and environmental protection.
4.4 The multimodal transport facilities of finished vehicle can be divided into
connection facilities and supporting facilities:
- The connection facilities shall meet the operational needs of the finished
vehicle from one transport mode to another transport mode. It should
include railway loading and unloading lines, railway platforms, car
transporter loading and unloading sites, piers, transfer buffer sites and
be arranged separately. The directions and identifiers shall be unified.
5.2.1.4.3 The loading and unloading site of car transporter shall meet the
requirements for turning radius of central axle car transporter and semi-trailer
vehicle equipment.
5.2.1.4.4 A safe distance for vehicle operation shall be reserved between the
loading and unloading lanes.
5.2.1.5 Piers
5.2.1.5.1 Ro-ro pier shall introduce railway loading and unloading line. A
finished vehicle storage space or handover buffer space shall be set up
between the berth and the railway loading and unloading line.
5.2.1.5.2 The layout of the front area of the pier shall be able to meet the turning
radius requirements of vehicle equipment such as shuttle minibus.
5.2.1.5.3 The approach bridge of floating pier shall be connected to the finished
vehicle storage site.
5.2.1.6 Handover buffer site
5.2.1.6.1 The handover buffer site shall have the function of meeting the
coordination of operational capabilities and smooth processes among various
transport methods. It can be set separately or shared with the loading and
unloading site of car transporter and the storage site of finished vehicle.
5.2.1.6.2 The handover buffer site should be arranged between the railway
loading and unloading line, the loading and unloading site of car transporter,
the pier berth and the finished vehicle storage yard. In the case of setting up a
floating pier, the handover buffer site can be set on a pontoon.
5.2.1.6.3 The handover buffer site should be extended along the loading and
unloading direction of the car transporter loading and unloading site and pier
berth loading and unloading operations.
5.2.1.6.4 The handover buffer site shall be arranged along the parallel direction
of the railway loading and unloading line.
5.2.1.7 Storage site for finished vehicle
5.2.1.7.1 The storage site for finished vehicle shall be close to the railway
loading and unloading line, the loading and unloading site of car transporter,
and the pier berth.
5.2.1.7.2 The storage site for finished vehicle should meet the storage needs
for arrival and departure of roads, railways, waterways, and transport finished
areas, passages and other facilities shall be marked with location names,
directions, driving requirements in eye-catching locations.
