This Part of GB/T 3903 identically adopts the International Standard ISO
20863.2004 Footwear - Test methods for stiffeners and toepuffs - Bondability
(English version).
For easy use, this Part makes the following editorial modifications.
a) deleted the foreword of ISO 20863.2004;
b) deleted the table of contents of ISO 20863.2004;
c) used decimal point “.” to replace “,” which was used as decimal point;
d) directly used a national standard as reference which is corresponding to
the International standard that was used as reference in ISO 20863.2004;
e) deleted the normative Annex A of ISO 20863.2004.
This Part was proposed by China Light Industry Association.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee on
Footwear of Standardization Administration of China.

1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 3903 specifies a method for the determination of the
bondability of heat activated and solvent activated stiffeners and toepuffs to
upper and lining materials.
This Part is applicable to stiffeners and toepuffs of footwear use.
2 Normative references
The following standards contain the provisions which, through reference in this
Part of GB/T 3903, constitute the provisions of this Part. For dated references,
subsequent amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to
this Part. However, the parties who enter into agreement based on this Part are
encouraged to investigate whether the latest versions of these documents are
