1 Scope
This Standard specifies the naming composition and naming method for civil unmanned aircraft system.
This Standard applies to the type designation of industrial management, development, production, sales, use and maintenance of the civil unmanned aircraft system.

3 Terms and definitions
Terms and definitions determined by GB/T 4754-2017, GB/T 10113, and the following ones are applicable to this document.
3.1 Type code name
A number that is used to uniquely identify a specific type of aircraft, which is generally composed of English letters, Arabic numerals and symbols.
5.1.2 Numbering method
5.1.2.1 Country and region code
The country and region code, a required option, is used to reflect the country and region of production of the civil unmanned aircraft system. It consists of 3 Arabic numerals. The country and region code shall be determined according to the requirements of 3.3 and 4.2 in GB/T 2659-2000.
5.1.2.2 Company code
The company code, a required option, is used to reflect the information of the company that manufactures the civil unmanned aircraft system; it consists of 3 English letters (or Arabic numerals). The code is determined by the
manufacturer. Each manufacturing company can only have a unique company code.
5.1.2.3 Industry classification number
The industry classification number is optional; it is used to reflect the function or application field of the civil unmanned aircraft system. It consists of 3 English letters or Arabic numerals. The industry classification number shall be determined in accordance with the category code and broad heading code that are specified in 4.4 and Chapter 5 of GB/T 4754-2017.
5.1.2.4 Basic number
The basic number, a required option, is used to reflect the basic characteristics of the civil unmanned aircraft system; it consists of 3 English letters, where the first letter is the code that indicates the civil unmanned aircraft configuration, which shall be implemented according to Table 1; the second letter is the code that indicates the maximum take-off weight of the unmanned aircraft, which shall be implemented according to Table 2; the third letter is the code that indicates the unmanned aircraft power unit, which shall be implemented
according to Table 3. The classification of civil unmanned aircraft system in Table 1, Table 2, and Table 3 shall meet the requirements of 4.2, Chapter 5 and 4.6 in GB/T 35018-2018.
5.1.2.5 Serial number
The serial number, a required option, is used to reflect the development of serialization of the civil unmanned aircraft system; it consists of 2 English letters (or Arabic numerals). The code and sequence are determined by the
manufacturer.
