Scope

This Standard specifies the method for determining the bolt installation load of circular flange
joints with gaskets connected by bolts, as well as additional requirements for the selection,
installation preparation, assembly, bolt tightening, inspection, recording, marking and other
technical requirements for flange joints (flanges, gaskets and fasteners).
This Standard applies to the following “pressure-bearing equipment” flange joints with leakage
control requirements.
a) TSG D0001 and other corresponding safety technical specifications and regulations;
b) GB/T 20801 and other corresponding product standards or engineering specifications;
c) User or design requirements.
NOTE. the “pressure-bearing equipment” referred to in this Standard includes boilers, pressure
vessels (including fixed pressure vessels, mobile pressure vessels and gas cylinders),
pressure pipelines, pumps and valves, etc.
