This Standard is applicable to lights that are used in architecture, landscapes, works of art, public places, sports venues.
This Standard is not applicable to lights of which half peak angle is less than 2° (such as searchlight).
This Standard does not involve lights that use LED lights covered in GB/T 31897.1-2015.

4.2 Lights can be classified into white lights and color lights (non-white lights). 4.3 Lights can be classified into light-output non-adjustable lights (hereinafter referred to as “non-adjustable lights”) and light-output adjustable lights (hereinafter referred to as “adjustable lights”).
NOTE: Light-output adjustable lights might be dynamic dimming.
4.4 White lights can be classified into color-temperature non-adjustable lights and color-temperature adjustable lights.
4.5 Color lights can be classified into color non-adjustable lights and color adjustable lights.
NOTE: Color adjustable lights might be dynamic coloring.
5 General requirements
5.1 Lights shall meet safety requirements and electromagnetic compatibility requirements specified in IEC 60598-2-5:2015, GB/T 17743, GB 17625.1 and GB/T 18595.
5.2 Lights shall provide claimed functions and achieve claimed performances under rated conditions.
6 General test requirements and conditions
6.1 General test requirements
6.1.1 All tests in this Standard are type tests.
6.1.2 All samples that each test item specifies number of samples shall meet requirements of this Standard. In order to shorten test time, producer
(manufacturer) or responsible seller can additionally submit lights or light components that have same material and same design with lights under test. The premise is that test results are same as those on same lights.
6.2 General test conditions
6.2.1 This Standard follows test conditions for photoelectric characteristics of lights given in Annex A of GB/T 31897.201-2016.
6.2.2 Burn-in time before testing is 0h or burn-in time is not less than 500h that is put forward by manufacturer.
7.1.2.3 Rated luminous flux or rated luminous flux at maximum input power (such as dimming and coloring lights and dynamic dimming and coloring lights). 7.1.2.4 For color lights, following information shall be provided:
- about initial rated color coordinate value, for dynamic coloring and (or) dynamic coloring lights, it shall mark rated color coordinate value under maximum rated input power;
- for color lights of which color remains unchanged, it shall indicate light color, for example, green light or red light.
7.1.2.5 For white lights, following information shall be provided:
- rated correlated color temperature (CCT, K) and claimed color tolerance. For lights that color temperature is adjustable, it shall claim that one or more color temperature values required by color tolerance can be met;
- rated color rendering index Ra and R9. For lights that color temperature is adjustable, if color rendering index changes with color temperature, it needs to indicate color rendering index corresponding to correlated color temperature.
7.1.2.6 It shall provide beam spread or one half-peak divergence, peak light intensity and light intensity distribution map of lights.
7.1.2.7 Use lights of control device of independent light that is separated from light source chamber. It shall provide electrical parameters of driving light source or model specifications of applicable control device as well as
corresponding producer (manufacturer). For lights that use control device of built-in light, it shall provide model specifications of control device used as well as corresponding producer (manufacturer).
7.1.2.8 For lights that use replaceable LED module, following information shall be provided:
- applicable LED module model specifications, photometric codes and their corresponding producers (manufacturers);
- replacement method.
7.1.2.9 For dimming lights, it shall provide relevant information such as dimming control mode.
7.1.2.10 For lights that angle is adjustable, it shall indicate adjustment range of horizontal and/or vertical direction angle.
7.2 Input power
Protection level of enclosures of outdoor lights and external electrical cavity shall reach IP65.
7.6 Salt-spray corrosion resistance
For outdoor lights, after salt-spray corrosion resistance test, metal enclosures and external components shall not show any signs of damage, rust, erosion or corrosion.
7.7 Luminous maintenance rate
Type A lights do not have to provide sample for this test. Maintenance value under rated value claimed by module tp can be also called as maintenance value of lights under tq.
Type B lights need to carry out this test. Test cycle is 25% of rated life, not exceeding 6000h at most.
In addition to following requirements, lights shall meet requirements of 10.2 in GB/T 24823-2017.
- Ambient temperature of maintenance rate test shall be within performance temperature range (rated tq−2, rated tq).
- During testing, LED module in lights shall not exceed maximum rated
temperature tp.
Measured lumen maintenance rate shall not be less than rated lumen
maintenance rate code corresponding to lumen maintenance rate.
For dynamic dimming and coloring lights, luminous maintenance rate is not required.
7.8 Correlated color temperature, color rendering index and chromaticity coordinates
7.8.1 Correlated color temperature (white lights)
Deviation BETWEEN measured chromaticity coordinate initial value and 6000h maintenance value AND standard chromaticity coordinate value of rated
correlated color temperature shall not exceed claimed color tolerance. Annex D of GB/T 10682-2010 specifies calculation methods for standard chromaticity coordinate values of 7 sets specific chromaticity coordinates as well as tolerance range. Producer (manufacturer) may manufacture lights of other chromaticity coordinates according to user or market demand. However, it shall also give chroma coordinate target values and tolerance ranges for non- standard colors simultaneously.
NOTE: Annex A of GB/T 31897.1-2015 gives regional standard information of acceptable photometric data format.
8.3.3 Angle of spread
Measure according to requirements of GB/T 7002.
8.3.4 Peak light intensity
Measure according to requirements of GB/T 7002.
8.4 Angle positioning
8.4.1 Reproducibility
Use the method that positions laser sighting device on lights to inspect compliance. Place light exit surface of laser on center line of illuminating surface of lights (parallel to axis of rotation of lights). Spot angle of laser spot of laser sighting device falling on wall shall not exceed 6 mrad.
Place light exit surface of lights facing the wall. Light exit surface is 3m away from wall surface. Keep lights in a freely rotating state. Use angle positioning device to arbitrarily position on some rotation angle scale. Mark center position A of laser point on wall. Unlock positioning device. Rotate lights within entire adjustable range. Then make positioning device position once more. Do nothing else. Mark center position B of laser point. Measure AB spacing that shall not exceed 1cm. Respectively test in horizontal and vertical rotation directions. 8.4.2 Torsion resistance
Test according to 6.5 of IEC 60598-2-5:2015. After test, mark center position C of laser point. Distance between point A and point C in 8.4.1 shall not exceed 1cm.
8.5 Protection level of light enclosure
Visually inspect protection level of light mark’s enclosure. After durability test of 12.3 in GB 7000.1-2015, carry out test specified in Clause 9 of GB 7000.1-2015 to inspect its compliance.
NOTE: Example needs to be tested is the case where IP rating verified in safety inspection report of lights is not IP65.
8.6 Salt-spray corrosion resistance
Carry out test according to provisions of GB/T 2423.17. Test period is 48h. 8.7 Luminous maintenance rate
