This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Standard was proposed by China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Non-ferrous Metal of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 243).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marks,
packaging, transport, storage, quality certificate and contract (or order sheet)
for medium temperature brazing filler metals of aluminum alloys for electronics
industry use.
This Standard is applicable to medium temperature brazing filler metals of
aluminum alloys for electronics industry use (hereinafter referred to as brazing
filler metal).

GB/T 1425, Determination of Melting Temperature Range for Precious
Metals and Their Alloys - Testing Method of Thermal Analysis
GB/T 3190, Wrought aluminium and aluminium alloys - Chemical
composition limits
GB/T 3199, Wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy products - Packing,
marking, transporting and storing
GB/T 8170, Rules of rounding off for numerical values and expression and
judgement of limiting values
GB/T 17432, Methods for sampling for analyzing the chemical composition
of wrought aluminum and aluminum alloys
GB/T 20975 (all parts), Chemical analysis methods of aluminium and
aluminium alloys
calculating “Al” content, take the sum of analysis values of regular analysis
elements and analysis values of irregular analysis elements that are suspected
as excessive as “sum of element contents”.
4.1.2 Use rounding-off comparison method for determination of analysis values.
Rounding-off rules for values are in accordance with relevant provisions of GB/T
8170. Number of revisions shall be consistent with limit digits specified in GB/T
3190.
4.2 Size deviation
It shall use measuring tool of corresponding precision to measure size deviation
of brazing filler metal.
4.3 Appearance quality
Under natural scattered light, visually inspect appearance quality. When
necessary, it may use size measuring tool to define defect size. Determine
defect depth through grinding.
4.4 Melting temperature
Determination method for melting temperature of brazing filler metal is in
accordance with provisions of GB/T 1425.
5 Inspection rules
5.1 Inspection and acceptance
5.1.1 Product shall be inspected by supplier to ensure product quality complies
with provisions of contract (or order sheet) of this Standard. Supplier fills in
quality certificate.
5.1.2 Purchaser shall inspect products received according to provisions of this
Standard. When inspection results fail to comply with provisions of contract (or
order sheet) of this Standard, it shall be proposed in written form to supplier,
and it shall be solved by supplier and purchaser through negotiation. Objections
to appearance quality and size shall be proposed within one month since
products are received. Objections to other performances shall be proposed
within three months since products are received. If arbitration is required, it may
entrust an authority recognized by supplier and purchaser to perform the
arbitration. Perform sampling together at purchaser’s site.
5.2 Batching
Brazing filler metals shall be submitted for acceptance in batches. Each batch
certificate
6.1 Marks
6.1.1 Product marks
Each batch of brazing filler metals shall have paper label, printed with following
information:
a) designation;
b) state;
c) furnace number or batch number;
d) shape;
e) inspection seal of supplier’s technical supervision department (or
signature or seal of quality inspector).
6.1.2 Mark of packaging box
Mark of product’s packaging box shall comply with provisions of GB/T 3199.
6.2 Packaging, transport, storage
Packaging, transport, storage of brazing filler metal shall comply with provisions
of GB/T 3199.
6.3 Product quality certificate
Each batch of products shall be attached with quality certificate, indicating:
a) supplier’s name;
b) product name;
c) product designation;
d) furnace number or batch number;
e) shape;
f) delivery state;
g) contract number;
h) net weight and number of pieces;
