Foreword
This Standard identically uses ISO 3302-1:1996 "Rubber - Tolerances for
products - Part 1: Dimensional tolerances" to revise GB/T 3672-1992.
This is the second revision to GB/T 3672-1992 "Dimensional tolerances for
moulded extruded and calendered solid rubber products". Compared with GB/T
3672-1992, the main changes in this revision are as follows:
- the standard name was changed from "Dimensional tolerances for moulded
extruded and calendered solid rubber products" to "Rubber - Tolerances of
products - Part 1: Dimensional tolerances";
- the division of nominal size ranges in Table 1, Table 4 and Table 9 was
changed;
- the certain levels of tolerances within certain nominal size ranges in Table
1, Table 2, Table 3, Table 4, Table 7 and Table 8 were changed according
to ISO 3302.
This Standard and GB/T 3672.2-2002 "Rubber - Tolerances of products - Part
2: Geometrical tolerances" constitute the tolerance standard of rubber products.
This standard replaces GB/T 3672-1992 from the date of implementation.
This Standard was proposed by National Petroleum and Chemical Industry
Administration.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of Subcommittee on Sealed
Products of National Technical Committee on Rubber and Rubber Products of
Standardization Administration of China.
Main drafting organizations of this Standard: Northwest Research and Design
Institute of Rubber and Plastics. The participating organizations: Guizhou
Dazhong Rubber Co., Ltd., Shanghai No. 1 Rubber Products Factory.

Rubber - Tolerances of products - Part 1: Dimensional
tolerances
1 Scope
This Standard specifies classes of dimensional tolerances, and their values, for
moulded, extruded and calendered solid rubber products. The relevant test
methods necessary for the establishment of compliance with this International
Standard are also specified.
The tolerances are primarily intended for use with vulcanized rubber but may
also be suitable for products made of thermoplastic rubbers.
This Standard does not apply to precision toroidal sealing rings or to calendered
composite products such as rubber-coated fabrics or products where a rubber
coating is applied by the process of topping or skim coating.
