Household and similar adjustable frequency
converters – Model naming method
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, and naming method for the model
naming of household and similar adjustable frequency controls (hereinafter referred to
as adjustable frequency controls).
This Standard applies to household and similar adjustable frequency controls of rated
voltage not exceeding 690 V and rated current not exceeding 63 A.
NOTE. Adjustable frequency controls can be independently mounted components or one part
of an independent control system. But adjustable frequency controls themselves can perform
the motor speed regulation function through the conversion elements.

undated references, the latest edition of the referenced documents (including all
amendments) applies to this document.

– Terminology
3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions and those given
in GB/T 29486 apply. For the convenience of use, some terms and definitions in GB/T
29486-2013 are listed again below.
3.1
adjustable frequency converter
Converter which can perform the frequency regulation function.
[GB/T 29486-2013, Definition 3.9]
3.7
independently mounted adjustable frequency control
Adjustable frequency control intended for permanent connection to fixed wiring, but
intended to be mounted away from the controlled equipment. It may be either.
-- for surface mounting such as on to a wall;
-- for flush mounting, such as into a wall cavity, when installation shall be possible
from the front;
-- for panel mounting, such as onto or into a control panel, when installation may be
from the rear.
NOTE. Rewrite GB/T 14536.1-2008, Definition 2.5.5.
4 Model naming
4.1 Model composition
The model of adjustable frequency controls consists of category code, control object
code, input rated voltage code, input frequency code, input current code, mounting
type code, application product category, plant design sequential code, etc. of
adjustable frequency controls.
4.2 Coding principles
4.2.1 Code X1
Code X1 is the category code of adjustable frequency controls, which is represented
by two capital pinyin letters.
4.2.2 Code X2
Application product category and plant design
sequential code
Mounting type code
Input current code
Input frequency code
Input rated voltage code
Control object code
Category code of adjustable frequency controls
Annex A
(Informative)
Examples for the applications of model naming
A.1 Example 1
BKY-D220W150ZR/KT01 represents the basic model of incorporated, adjustable
frequency controls for air-conditioning products, whose control object is permanent-
magnet synchronous motor, input power is AC single-phase 220 V and 50 Hz, input
rated current is 15 A and plant design sequential code is T01.
A.2 Example 2
BKG-D220J008ZT/BAC01 represents the basic model of integrated adjustable
frequency controls for refrigeration products, whose control object is AC induction
(asynchronous) motor, input power is AC single-phase 220 V and 50 Hz/60 Hz, input
rated current is 0.8 A and plant design sequence code is AC 01.
A.3 Example 3
BKY-Z310Z070ZR/Q represents the basic model of incorporated adjustable frequency
controls for other products, whose control object is permanent-magnet synchronous
motor, input power voltage is DC 310 V and input rated current is 7A.
A.4 Example 4
BKG-S380W200ZR/L represents the basic model of incorporated adjustable frequency
controls for refrigerated cabinets, whose control object is AC induction (asynchronous)
motor, input power voltage is AC three-phase 380 V and 50 Hz and input rated current
is 20 A.
