1 Scope
This Standard specifies the ordering content, dimensions, shape, weight and allowable
deviation, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking
and quality certificate of austenitic stainless steel bars for main equipment of nuclear
power plants.
This Standard applies to hot-rolled and forged austenitic stainless steel bars with a
diameter of 10 mm~260 mm for use in level 1, 2 and 3 equipment in nuclear power
plants.

4 Dimensions, shape, weight
4.1 The diameter range of steel bars is: 10 mm~260 mm.
4.2 The dimensions, shape and allowable deviations of hot-rolled steel bars shall
comply with the requirements of Group 2 in GB/T 702-2017.
4.3 The dimensions, shape and allowable deviations of forged steel bars shall comply
with the requirements of Group 2 in GB/T 908-2008.
4.4 Steel bars with other sizes and allowable deviations may also be provided upon
negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser and specified in the contract.
4.5 Steel bars are delivered according to actual weight.
5 Technical requirements
5.1 Designation and chemical composition
The steel designation and chemical composition (melting analysis and finished product
analysis) shall comply with the requirements of Table 1. Other element chemical
composition requirements may be specified according to the purchaser's requirements
and in the contract.
5.2 Smelting method
Steel shall be smelted by electric furnace + refining outside the furnace or electric
furnace + refining outside the furnace + electroslag remelting. Other smelting processes
that can ensure quality can also be used. The smelting method of steel shall be specified
in the contract.
5.3 Manufacturing method
Steel bars shall be hot rolled or forged. The total processing ratio shall not be less than
3. For steel bars for Class 1 equipment, a manufacturing outline shall be prepared,
which shall include the sequence and inspection procedures in the manufacturing
process.
5.4 Delivery condition
Steel bars are delivered in solution state. The recommended solution treatment
temperature is 1030℃~1150℃. According to the requirements of the purchaser, after
negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser and specified in the contract, steel
bars can be delivered in hot rolling or forging (without solution treatment).
5.5 Mechanical properties
The mechanical properties of steel bars delivered after solution treatment shall comply
with the provisions of Table 2. For steel bars delivered without solution treatment, the
blanks shall be cut and simulated for solution treatment as test materials. The
mechanical properties of the samples shall be tested. The results shall comply with the
provisions of Table 2.
5.6 Intergranular corrosion
Steel bars delivered after solution treatment shall be subjected to intergranular corrosion
test. The test method adopts method E in GB/T 4334-2008. Except for 06Cr19Ni10 and
06Cr17Ni12Mo2, other designations of samples shall be sensitized before testing.
Among them, the sensitization treatment of 06Cr18Ni11Ti adopts the following
treatment B, and other designations adopt any of the following treatment methods:
a) Treatment A: 650℃±10℃ for steel without molybdenum, 675℃±10℃ for steel
with molybdenum; keep warm for 2 h, air cool;
b) Treatment B: 700℃±10℃ for steel without molybdenum; 725℃±10℃ for steel
containing molybdenum; heating time shall not exceed 5 min, keep warm for 30
min, cool at a rate of (60±5)℃/h, furnace cool to 500℃, and air cool to room
temperature.
5.7 Ultrasonic testing
Finished steel bars shall be subjected to ultrasonic testing. The method may be GB/T
4162-2008 or NB/T 20003.2 or other methods. The qualified level shall be determined
by negotiation between the supplier and the purchaser and shall be specified in the
contract. If not specified, Grade B in GB/T 4162-2008 shall be used.
7.4.3 Except for tensile and impact tests, the reinspection and judgment rules for other
items shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 17505.
7.4.4 If a product is rejected due to unsatisfactory results of one or more mechanical
property tests, reheat treatment is allowed. Retest all items except chemical composition
according to the provisions of this Standard. The conditions of reheat treatment shall be
included in the test report. Reheat treatment shall not exceed once.
7.5 Rounding off of test results
For measured or calculated values, the rounded value comparison method shall be used
in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 8170.
8 Packaging, marking and quality certificate
8.1 The packaging and marking of steel bars shall comply with the relevant provisions
of GB/T 2101.
8.2 When the steel bars leave the factory, they shall be accompanied by a quality
certificate and a test report (or record) signed by the supplier's inspection department.
The record and test report shall at least include:
- Composition list for smelting analysis and composition list for finished product
analysis;
- Heat treatment records (in case of re-heat treatment, all heat treatment records are
included);
- Mechanical properties tes...
