This Standard identically adopts the international standard ISO 4665:1998 Rubber, Vulcanized
and Thermoplastic - Resistance to Weathering (English version).
This Standard serves as a replacement for GB/T 3511-2001 Rubber, Vulcanized and
Thermoplastic - The Test Method of Resistance to Direct Natural Weathering, GB/T 12831-
1991 Rubber, Vulcanized - Test Method of Resistance to Artificial Weathering (xenon arc lamp),
GB/T 14835-1993 Rubber, Vulcanized - Test Method of Exposure for Resistance Daylight under
Glass and GB/T 16996-1997 Rubber, Vulcanized - Assessment of Changes in Properties after
Exposure to Natural Weathering or Artificial Light.
This Standard equivalently translates ISO 4665:1998.

This document specifies the test methods for determining changes in color, appearance and
physical properties of rubber materials after being exposed to natural or artificial weathering.
