Determination on Reabsorbed Water of Upgraded Coal
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, method summary, reagents,
instruments and equipment, coal sample preparation, test procedure, result expression,
method precision and test report of determination on reabsorbed water of upgraded
coal.
This Standard is applicable to the determination on reabsorbed water of upgraded low-
rank coal.
2 Normative References
The following documents are indispensable to the application of this Standard. In terms
of references with a specified date, only versions with a specified date are applicable
to this Standard. The latest version (including all the modifications) of references
without a specified date is also applicable to this Standard.

3 Terms and Definitions
Terms and definitions that are defined in GB/T 35062 are applicable to this document.
In order to make it convenient for usage, some terms and definitions in GB/T 35062
are listed out again as follows.
3.1 Upgraded Coal
Upgraded coal refers to coal products that are obtained through certain upgrading and
processing technology.
[GB/T 35062-2018, Definition 3.3]
3.2 Reabsorption
6.5 Analytical balance. division value. 0.001 g.
7 Coal Sample Preparation
In accordance with the stipulation in GB/T 474 or GB/T 19494.2, prepare coal sample
whose granularity is less than 6 mm and mass not less than 1.25 kg. Before weighing-
taking the coal sample, thoroughly mix up coal sample in the sealed container. The
duration of mixing shall be not less than 1 min.
8 Test Procedure
8.1 Pre-test Preparation
8.1.1 Pre-test preparation of test using constant-temperature cabinet. prepare
potassium chloride saturated solution. add 200 mL of distilled water or deionized water
into 90 g of potassium chloride. After thoroughly mixing it up, transfer it into a 500 mL
beaker; reserve for later usage.
8.1.2 Pre-test preparation of test using constant-temperature and constant-humidity
cabinet. add sufficient distilled water or deionized water into the constant-temperature
and constant-humidity water cabinet.
8.2 Stabilize Test Environment
Set the temperature of the constant-temperature cabinet or the constant-temperature
and constant-humidity cabinet to 30.0 °C; set the relative humidity of the constant-
temperature and constant-humidity cabinet to 83%. When test is conducted using the
constant-temperature cabinet, place the previously prepared potassium chloride
saturated solution into the constant-temperature zone of the constant-temperature
cabinet. Before test, the duration of stabilization shall be not less than 1 h.
8.3 Weigh Coal Sample
Weigh-take 10 g ~ 12 g of test coal sample (accurate to 0.001 g) whose granularity is
less than 6 mm. The mass of the coal sample shall be marked as m1. Promptly place
it into the previously weighed weighing bottle; evenly lay the coal sample in the
weighing bottle.
8.4 Place Coal Sample
Open the cap of the weighing bottle; place the weighing bottle into the constant-
temperature cabinet or the constant-temperature and constant-humidity cabinet.
8.5 Coal Sample Mass Record
2 h after placing the weighing bottle into the constant-temperature cabinet or the
