1 Scope
This document specifies the labeling composition, marking requirements,
labeling location, labeling method and labeling requirements of labels for
echelon used battery products in the recycling of traction battery used in electric
vehicle.
This document applies to the labeling of echelon used battery products of
retired traction battery used in electric vehicle.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents constitute the indispensable clauses
of this document through normative references in the text. For dated references,
only the version corresponding to that date is applicable to this document; for
undated references, the latest version (including all amendments) is applicable
to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
Terms and definitions determined by GB/T 19596, GB/T 26989, GB/T 34014,
and the following ones are applicable to this document.
3.1
Echelon use
The process of traction battery used in electric vehicle, after retirement, to be
re-applied, in the form of battery packs or modules or cells, to the related target
4.2.1 General requirements
The mark for echelon used battery products shall be clear and easy to identify.
4.2.2 Marking style
The mark for echelon used battery products is composed of an equilateral
triangle recycling symbol and a battery mark. The style of the mark shall meet
the requirements of Appendix A.
4.2.3 Marking size
The marking size shall comply with the provisions of Appendix A; the size can
be adjusted according to the size of the echelon used battery product; the height
of the entire mark shall not be less than 5 mm. If it is necessary to reduce or
enlarge the mark, it shall be reduced or enlarged in the same proportion.
5 Labeling location
5.1 Echelon used battery products shall be labeled with the label for echelon
used battery products on the easy-to-read part of the product surface and
visible positions on the product outer packaging, instruction manual and
advertising materials.
5.2 For products that cannot be labeled on the outer surface of the product due
to product size or structure, etc., only label the mark for echelon used battery
products and the code of echelon used battery products.
5.3 If it is not possible to mark the mark on the obvious part due to the influence
of the product function, appearance design, etc., it shall be explained in the
product technical document that is published by the enterprise.
6 Labeling methods
6.1 The labels on the outer packaging, operation instruction and advertising
materials of the product shall be marked by printing, spraying, or pasting labels.
6.2 For the label on the outer surface of the echelon used battery product, one
of the following methods shall be selected for labeling:
a) Directly engrave on structural parts that are not easy to remove or replace;
it can be engraved in concave or embossed manner;
b) Print on the label, which shall be permanently fixed on the structural part
of the component that is not easy to remove or replace; the label shall
comply with the provisions of 4.1 and 4.2 in GB/T 25978-2018;
